tl;dr (kinda), Nyx is an OC from a former popular and controversial fanfiction called Past Sins whose peak popularity was from 2011-2012 to the point I'd see those ask "What episode is Nyx in?"
And I'm not making that up.
Years later Nyx became irrelevant and forgotten until one autist came to /mlp/ with the goal of trying to make her relevant and remembered and spent roughly 5 years trying to shill his daughteru just slightly over a week ago Princewhateverer released a collab video featuring 100 animators that included a lot of fan content but excluded nyx and it broke the guy. It's up in the air if he did kill himself or he's simply given up and vanished.
Guy was fucking dedicated to her. Like seriously. Says it was nothing sexual and that he saw her as a daughter. Past Sins has always been controversial but his endless posting of her on /mlp/ gained her newfound hate. Succeeded in making sure /mlp/ would never forget her that's for sure.
I honestly just feel bad for him. Most dedicated waifufag out there.

Nyx is the mc in the fanfiction Past Sins. I would call it one of the classics when it comes to pony fanfiction.
The premise is that a cult tries to revive Nightmare Moon but appearently they missed the part at the end of the first season final episodes about how Nightmare Moon is Luna. They think Nightmare Moon is a separte entity from Luna. They have a ritual to revive her but they don't compltete it properly due to Celestia's guards cracking down on them. The the result is that filly Nightmare Moon is created.
For some reason I can't remember Twilight ventures out in the everfree forest the next day and find the filly NNM (the ritual was in the everfree forest). Twilight then brings the demonspawn home and for the rest of the story goes over the same question on why she doesn't report this to Celestia. You see, Twilight in this fic thinks that Celestia, you know the one princess and teacher that she practically woreship, might be a complete douche and make filly NNM into a labrat or send her to the moon.
So Twilight decides therefore never to inform Celestia about filly NNM so the plot can happen. The plot that is filly alicorn mary sue oc that all the good ponies in ponyville instantly fall in love with. She is later named Nyx because Twilight accepts her role as a momfu for her adorable child satan and names her after her favorite character in a children's book she read as a child.

But this isn't about me. This is about you. What kind of content do you wish to see? Like the story exist already so there most be something that you feel could be expanded upon or something you would want more of.

Like, I'm a writefag but if I were to just have Nyx as my mc in whatever story wrote, then that wouldn't satisfy you. I don't know the character and I donn't get the appeal. I would have her do things that doesn't fit her character. I would put her in one of my own stories and make her into a an action hero because that's what I do.

Here is a thing. I think you should list the things you like aboout Nyx or Past Sins. Explain by either telling us what so great about her or show us throuugh stories or drawings.

Little kid who has an ancient evil's power sealed inside him gets adopted by a nice character who loves him even though he could turn evil and unleash the power at any moment. Villagers fear Naruto because he could unleash the darkness inside him at any moment. Some idiots think he IS Nightmare Moon- I mean the demon fox Kyubi. Kids don't play with him. Parents spread rumors about him. Orphan has a sad life only made happier by his one or more good parent(s). He might have some good friends, as characters the author likes treat Orphan with kindness. Characters the author doesn't like get flanderized into violent bullies and screeching harpies. People make stupid decisions because the plot and characters aren't important, the emotionally-manipulative moments are. But after a while, the Country's Ruler feels uncharacteristically cunty that day and he decides to try and take Orphan Naruto away from the good environment, either to be killed or sealed or turned into a child soldier. Hero saves the kid or the kid escapes to flee with the script and the story is never finished properly.

Nyx and Past Sins is what happens when you take this tired Naruto Fanfiction cliche and try to shoehorn the optimistic and sunny world of S1-era MLP into it. Characters HAVE to act cuntier than usual so the usual story beats can be done as by-the-book as possible.
It's almost as creatively sterile as Fallout Equestria, which was literally just a bad "Darker and Edgier" novelization of Fallout 3 with some 1, 2, and NV elements sprinkled in along side the shoehorned-in MLP references. The only good thing I can say about that shitshow? It forced its fanfic-writers to be original, for better or for worse, because it hogged almost all the shallow Fallout iconography for itself while losing its meaning Fallout 76-style.

And when I say content, I mean anything that touch upon the subject. This thread, is a good example of something that draws attention to Nyx. However, this thread is unsubstainable because the way you are approaching the subject. Or it might have the opposite effect from what you want. You should reconsider what I and that what other helpful Anons has told you before you continue. Since you want nyx to appeal to us rather than becoming our new Silver Star.

The easiest way is still to just post cute Nyx pics. This is allowed acording to the rules of the site but again it most be done in a manner that is appealing. Otherwise, you will annoy Anons and they will dislike your oc even more. Even if Nyx posting won't ever be banned here, you still want Anons to liek your oc rather than the opposite.

So we are back were we where at the start of this. What is appealing about Nyx? If you just write a review on Past Sins that would generate intrest in the form of response to that. People who disagree and people who agree would make their voice heard. At that point, you have gotten the ball rolling.
