4chan's /mlpol/ was a "magical place" because of all the new 4chan users forced to interact with bronies and appreciate what's good about FIM. Meanwhile leftards and bait-takers obsessed with worshipping Donald Trumpstein could be convinced to fuck off with horsepussy spam.
There are always new serious political things to talk about. There is more than one good cartoon on the planet. Discussing why some FIM episodes are good or bad is tiresome when some users want to shut those discussions down by yelling "There are no bad FIM episodes, you're just wrong".
The brony fandom doesn't have anything like Sonic Amateur Games Expo. The brony fandom has a writing site worse to navigate than AO3 and multiple forums infiltrated by libtards and subverted. What new pony content is there to talk about? The goyslop nu-FIM hasbro's producing to push current message. What new pony content is there worth talking about? Greentexts. Write some greentext if you want new pony content to talk about.

But if they cleaned up the site, then where would pedos and zooniggers rally to discuss their degeneracy? Do you really want that and Nigel's tard blog (most of /mlpol/ these days) to go down?
The meme magic that made this place special is gone. Bronydom in general has gotten significantly more degenerate the past few years as a good chunk of the people left are the most vile of freaks. Not even trying to doompost, but you know it's true. It's pretty much over.
What's happened to /mlpol/ is pretty sad, but could at least be viewed as a cautionary tale of what happens when you throw all standards out the window and fail to gatekeep in any way whatsoever.

While those threads are certainly cancer and I hate seeing them, and we'd benefit from them being gone, there's also little traffic to replace them. If the low-quality threads and generals are to be removed, I hope you're prepared to step up traffic and content creation to replace them.
That being said, low-quality/cancer threads are kind of worse than no threads at all, because they discourage good threads. I think what you say could be worth it, but you need both a plan and commitment to step up content creation.

But, regardless, you do suggest there is an answer that can be regulated to make them return by psionic suggestion. Perhaps you weren't present to witness, but I previously did discuss this with the poster that is responsible in large for the type of posting you find abhorrent. I asked him to alter style and he refused. This is not something I can regulate with the ruleset available to me. If I go about banning everyone for not posting how I like, there wouldn't be much of anyone left because everyone would fear not meeting a standard. The only posts we remove for not meeting a standard are so bad that they are spam quality, a single word or sentence with a barely related image. That is the extend of moderation. If you wish to draft up a measurement of quality, you best think it through and propose it to the site as a whole, otherwise you might just meet the requirements for a ban yourself under your own rules.

I have seen no evidence of this. I know of a singular poster that claims to be from a /pol/ spirit in posting and that is about it. Everyone else has not claimed to be from 4chan as a newfag, and I doubt this poster is new himself. I have seen evidence of people leaving for 4chan, but such is about expected in people that want speedy replies and not have to make the content themselves. Assuming you are not newfag, you would know that /qa/ is where such suggestions and discussions go to make efforts to change the ruleset and method the site operates under. There are many such archived threads on these sorts of topics there if you ever gave it a look to know that is where these discussions go. Why someone would post it here while not being a newfag would suggest an intent to stir trouble and doubt in the operation of the site without considering the will of the users. Surely that is not the case though, right? I am willing to fully accept you just wanted to be seen by as many people as fast as possible. Just don't expect me to take the suggestions seriously if you don't use the proper channels to make these recommendations.

But this did occur already, and we are right back to where we started. There was the time the poster in question left out of frustration and we had pony post spammed for a while. Personally, I like it better, but that is not the basis of moderation. When he returned, there is no reason to remove him and all the posters didn't magically lose the ability to post and counter whatever he did if you hate it so much. No, what happened is they were only here for a short time to be entertained and they left. This is the nature of visitors, as they would make a pattern of posting that would rival this guy if they were at all serious about /mlpol/. Instead, this poster's existence is so troublesome, you have admitted you can't compete by simply adding content to the site. You need him removed.

I will state again, I am no fan of his posting style. I have asked him many times to change so it will encourage responses instead of image dumps and copy/pasting articles which people overlook. He did not take kindly to that. Just as I am asking you to post in the correct place and you likely won't listen. That isn't grounds for banning because unlike you, I can prove he actually posts and discusses and see that he isn't going anywhere. It is best to work with him and try to compromise so both aspect of /mlpol/, the pony and the politics, are kept around and in harmony.

I visited this place when it was new and I started regularly lurking here two years ago when it was more active than it is now to escape the gay shit that infested 4cuck. I can't speak for anyone else, but seeing the quality and quantity of threads here plummet doesn't exactly encourage posting. By the way, Nigel's spam is the least of my complaints.
