Tragic, but not unexpected. Brace for impact. This will change copyright law worldwide forever for the worst.
since this is kind of a dry but important topic heres something
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrpOh0Qo8Iw30 minute video from Inferno Plus, a controversial Dark Souls Youtuber from the USA.
He explains how International copyright abuse on youtube is ruining this channel. and this was all happening before article 13 was a thing, in the USA. its all getting worse from here.
>expecting the EU to make good decisions
>ever
Well looks like it's time to get a ticket to Canada.
RIP EU fags, hopefully this isn't the new precedent for the rest of the world.
is there a way to see what country voted for or against?
>>214108Not sure. Closest I have found. But there is probably a good overview somewhere but who knows how (if at all) the EU bureaucracy work.
https://twitter.com/Senficon I think it is intresting to note that Tor has been sitting on my external harddrive for a really long while now. I never really had a reason to use it (Not because there is anything wrong with that. I just didn't care to.). Until, now that is.
>>214119>biggest opposition to censorship is the left and greensExcuse me what the fuck Europe
>>214127Most of the "right wing" in Europe is actually center-left. We don't have any true right wing, or scarcely little of it. And we don't have next to none who is fighting for freedom of speech.
In the Green and Pirate Party "coalition" I think the majority is the Pirate Party which counts for much of those votes. But the extreme left is actually more for some freedoms than the left and center/center-right is. The extreme left is not for free speech but they are for getting free stuff like unrestricted copying. But if Article 13 was about banning "hate speech" on the internet they would all be for it.
The voting on the Article 13 is also probably pushed forward so they get to enact it before new elections to the EU parliament where a stronger right wing, and EU skeptic parties, would be voted in.
>I wish we had a stronger presence of parties fighting for true freedom. >>214128>And we don't have next to none who is....And we have next no none who is....
>>214128>We don't have any true right wing, or scarcely little of it.What about the Nordic Resistance Movement?
https://nordicresistancemovement.org/ >>214128In europe you say. I know that it is the case for our countries but I didn't know it was the case for the whole of europe.
>>214137Well, they are not in the paralament. They have demonstartions but they do not have any real political power outside of metapolitics.
>>214143You are right. It is probably mostly cucked countries like ours that are like that. And it is true there are countries in Europe that have based politicians and parties that actually work for the people in their country.
Good bye Eurofags, it was nice knowing you.
Another thing the European Parliment did this morning: pass a law requiring all new vehicles to have speed regulators preventing them from speeding
>Drivers in Europe will soon have to get used to anti-speeding devices in their cars, after EU legislators agreed this morning on new legislation requiring them.>The legislation will require all new vehicles put on the market to be equipped with Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) technology. The devices can use sign-recognition video cameras or GPS-linked data to automatically limit the speed of a vehicle. They do so by limiting the engine power to prevent the vehicle from accelerating past the limit, rather than by throwing on the brakes.https://www.forbes.com/sites/davekeating/2019/03/26/new-eu-law-will-require-all-new-cars-to-be-fit-with-anti-speeding-devices/amp/The amount of text I just posted is enough to trigger the link tax under Article 11. Feels good to be an American
>>214147Did Brendon cause this acceleration?
>>214152Based and Redstone-pilled
>>214148>Did Brendon cause this acceleration? No, it was already on the Climate Change measures to extract resources from White populations.
What Brenton did indeed is to accelerate the Nationalist message far beyond anyone could thought.
>>214066I want to be outraged, but I'm not surprised. Every day I am amazed that there are people who fail to see that the EU is a corrupt and evil entity.
>>214066Reminder that the passing of Article 13 falls squarely on fucking Sweden for pressing the wrong fucking button while voting. Considering how fucked that country is I guess it's not surprising that their political heads are that incompetent. I'd be busting my gut laughing if this entire ordeal makes me want to break my laptop at the same time.
>>214160didn't make me*
also here's the article that talks about it.
https://boingboing.net/2019/03/26/jfc-fml-jfc.html >>214147Are we taking bets on how hard these measures will fail?
>>214165I think they have paid of and gained the control of most, if not all, of the voters in the "EU Council".If they waited with the vote till after the elections it would fail on both "parliament" and "council". But since it is rushed through so the people don't have a chance to object I think it will pass. It can still probably be used as a election call and revoke the article next round, unless you need all member states to agree to remove a law once it is in place. The best one can hope for is that this leads to a rush of calls for EXITS from the EU. I will at least not follow that article no matter what.
>>214165Big time. They'll be actually creating a black market for memes and free internet.
History repeats and we'll be seeing a prohibition 2.0.
>>214144Do you know how this directive, or whatever it is, will be applied, if it is applied at all, in Norway? You are not part of EU after all but you have some sort of cooporation with EU. Will you be effected by this law?
>>214119Wer hat uns verraten? Die Sozialdemokraten!
As always.
>>214193Now I can say fuck article 13 and mean it literally.
Thanks Jay!
>>214160This almost feels too stupid to be true...
>>214066But wait, it gets even worse. Apparently someone switched the yes and no options mid-session, intentionally misleading ten meps into voting the wrong option.
The most fucked of fucks is that the "MEPs may still issue corrections to their vote in case of mistakes, which will however not change the outcome". That's right, you got cheated, it's not even a secret but fuck you anyway.
https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20190326/15193241877/enough-meps-say-they-mistakenly-voted-articles-11-13-that-vote-should-have-flipped-eu-parliament-says-too-bad.shtml >>214207The more people that know about this the more people will be pissed at the eu. They can not trust the eu at all now.
>>214207Is there no way to reverse this shit?
>>214207>which will however not change the outcomeJust as the EU (((democracy))) was designed.
>>214209>Is there no way to reverse this shit?Burn the EU to the ground would be best option.
2nd best is that new parliament will overturn the vote as
>>214214 notes
>>214119>According to the speaker himself, some MEPs were confused about what they were even voting for "(please excuse the Maltese translations, the EU website is so bad that the English translations were in French for some reason)"
https://twitter.com/grandayy/status/1110562215818653696 >>214254>some MEPs were confused about what they were even voting for Truly the best and brightest minds that are sent to the EU parliament
Fucking EU.. Bullshit like this me wonder why this retarded beaucratic circlejerk even exists in the first place...
>>214260It is made so politicians that isn't elected into the parliaments of various governments can get a high paying "job" in Brussels. And it is also created for politicians that just want a high paying cushy job with even less accountability than if they were in their countries parliaments. Just like most positions in the UN.
>>214260>why this retarded beaucratic circlejerk even exists in the first place…it exists to fuck over european nations and always had
I wonder if the cucks that got this passed realize the long term implication of this bill.
By outlawing uploads in the EU especially non state sponsored news, they basically killed all credibility of any official news coming out of the EU.
Tl:dr EU = DPRK
if the law gets approved in April, it will take about 2 years to be implemented. i guess it will go live about New Years 2021.
According to Darksyde Phile Youtube and Twitch said they will just wait and see what happens. If they dont know how to handle it by then, they will just blanket ban everyone frome Europe by that date to avoid crippling lolsuits.
Since every platform now counts as a publisher and is responsible for everything its users say, this is not only massive greed driven copyright trolling, but also yet another attempt at mass censorship. All news companies on the EU who are controlled by the merchants will of course continue to sell their lügenpresse swill unhindered.
>>214455Thats 2 years for every Europoor to git gud at art and image macros just to get news out of the EUssr.
Also, its a must that any tech anon to develop a way to get info out that cannot get baleeted by silicon valley. I suggest helping hotwheels.
>>214667Indeed.
Idk wtf the other side of this debate was even thinking to justify this faggotry.
If anyone needed proof that Brussels does not stand for the European peoples' interests, this is it.
>>214668The thing with the EU parliament there is nothing the people of Europe can do to stop anything the "politicians" in the parliament wants to do. It is not like the EU is democratic or listens to the people of Europe. The only way to fix it is to burn the EU to the ground.
