They desperately want to look like the coolest, edgiest, smartest kids in the fandom. They desperately want to pander to cringe culture and say "Guys, look at these cringey bronies! We aren't cringey, look at these cringier losers!"
They're our self-appointed Fandom Police, like all cringers, and they have their own semi-fake news website too wrapped up in its own edge to bother taking a real ideological side beyond "Lmao pony fans are so gay aand weird lol".
And like all cringers, they hate it here. They hate you, and me. When MLPFIM releases a shitty episode, it's funny to them, because it makes the bronies they hate angry.
They're like leftists except they hate fun instead of white people. They still virtue-signal, they still lie, and their existence is still entirely defined by resentment and smug self-serving smugness.

I don't really read horsenews and have no real opinion of Horsenews myself.
Over the years i did stumble over a few impactful articles of them which i found entertaining. I dont think they are in any shape or form a credible news outlet nor do i think they strive to be. They ppear to me more similar to a news focused horse version of Encyclopedia dramatica, which I can admire. After all, Metokur cited them in his videos too and if they send (((Nigel))) on a tirade about cringe culture, they can't be that bad. Kind of glad they made it this far along with the rest of us. And concerning the death clock, Nothing lasts forever. Time to prepare for the inevitable.

I don't really know that much about these guys so maybe I am not the right person to say. But I feel like that is what a lot of people have as their driving force. It is similar to sceptics, centrists and critics that don't take a posistion so that they themselves can't be critized and so that they can critise "both sides" of the debate at the same time.
>>163083>tee hee me glimmer friend! nigel not like them so they must be goodNigger, my name is Battlebrit.
>>163299Yep, that's pretty much exactly what they are.
The first time I went there is when I want to know this cuteosphere drama. And that’s it.
