Unless they have Precise Shot, which would give me an indication of their power level.
The Dreads take attacks of opportunity at any gunners within 10 ft reach, preferably the machine gunners.

I sympathize with you, as my Sunday game is a pirate game with a bunch of NPCs. Also features a Bard as the main villain.
>multiple featsThis gives me meta knowledge that I will stay silent about.Anyway, how many attacks actually hit the Dreads? They have an AC of 16, DR 5/bludgeoning and 22 HP each. They should be able to take a few hits before they go down, hopefully long enough for Kira and Cavalier to get far enough away and to kill a few of the enemies.

It's the Dread's turn again, right?
The Dreads flank the Bard, attacking relentlessly with autonomous undead fury, intent on killing as many ponies as they can before they are destroyed or the enemy flees, as they were ordered to. It the bard dies from the first hit, the other goes for the next nearest pony.
I'm including flanking bonus on the roll:

As to whether the first AoO hits... it's an order of operations matter. I don't think so, since I believe an AoO is after the attack and that attack would have killed the dread. But if it goes ahead, that would be 2 HP of damage to add up to 6 damage to the mage across multiple rounds.
>>190642Okay. Does the mage die from 6 damage? A lvl 1 Wizard wouldn't have very much health.
Well, I guess my character has no way of knowing if it died or not...
".... Multiple gunshots... Automatic weaponry... I think I heard some evocation... It is likely that the enemy has engaged with my servants... They likely will not last long..." Posey observes as she listens to the fog.
That's my contribution to this fight. I'm off to bed.
>>190614Dust tries to calm the pony, softly shhhh-ing and trying to get him to lay down again. He feels the pony's chest for a heart beat to make sure it isn't racing and to see how much it still hurts.
>>190646He breathes in rapidly, and his pupils are massive. Dust can feel that the heart rate is elevated though not to an extreme degree. He doesn’t need to be told that’s bad when there’s likely internal bleeding.

>>190649I hope so too but I don't see how. I think GM Pony screwed us.
>>190651I wouldn't say that. The dice gods screwed over Kira with a nat 1 on her Hide check. And
maybe it would have been smarter for Cavaliere to run away while the 12 special forces ponies were distracted and he still had the advantage of nat 20s on his hide and move silently rolls. Also the dreads really should return to Posey before they get destroyed.
And also hopefully Kira gets back to the airship before she bleeds out.
>>190648No special impediment meets Cavaliere once he reenters the clouds. The soldiers seem... preoccupied. Kira has moved off, but otherwise things seem clear between him and the Airship.
>>190653Kira has done her best to make her moves untraceable. It's only perhaps a thousand feet back to the airship. The ground is left soft than desirable, with so many rocks, but compared to what she has just experienced and what she still feels, it's an easy journey. Nothing arises to stop her.
>>190655Is it normal for Kira's vision to be reduced to pinpricks? And should she be able to hear her heartbeat so well? And should it sound so strained? These are questions that runs through Kira's mind as she makes her way up the rocky terrain with great effort. She slips a couple times along the way, scratching at the rocks with her forehooves to find purchase, pulling herself back up and continuing her arduous journey. When Kira finally sees signs of the crashed airship through what's left of her vision, she lets out a sigh of relief and can't help but laugh to herself. She stops laughing quickly, however; laughing hurts right now.
Kira slithers up to the airship itself, looking in serious condition and holding her wounds. She cries out, "...b-b-bullets hur-hur-hurt!"
>>190647Well, no cardiac arrest at least, and if it's racing that doesn't mean it's slow which means most of the blood is still where it should be. Good. Dust seems fairly content with his work-
>>190656He hears something, not something loud, but something nevertheless. His ears pivot around a little, and he slowly leaves the room, pace quickening after he's out and on his way to the source of the noise.

But Zoobinator sees something new. Something dire. He sees the giant, yellow brown colored noodle (which is what most of them are colored, to be fair) in a... not at all desirable condition, slithering close by. She is bleeding, staining her leather jacket, and with danger of dirt getting into the several wounds.
>>190662>>190668Kira looks at Dust (is that Dust? It's getting hard for her to see) and pouts her bottom lip out. "The gee are you shot me..."
>>190668Oh. Oh dear.
Dust is shocked to see Kira in such poor condition, and starts to boarder on scared. He can heal much, and he's seen grevious wounds on the savannah. But he knows his limits, and if anything important is missing....
He quickly decides it's better for him to close the distance with a gallop. Kira is a.... Well it feels weird to call a noodle of legend that he's barely gotten to know a friend, but it's the closest to a friend he's had since leaving home. Regardless, he closes the distance as quick as possible and begins to soothe the poor noodle.
>>190677He shushes her a little, gently or as gentle as he can manage.
"There there my little mare,
Entrust me fully for your care.
Relax now in my embrace,
And wipe your fears from your face."
He smiles, knowing patients appreciate a caregiver that seems confident as he gives her a one over. He needs to make sure there's no long cuts where something may have stole an organ or left ones dangling.

>>190678Dust, how many spell slots do you have left? Do you have any wands or scrolls?
>>190679Dust pets her head a little, smiling to calm her.
>>190683Well through is probably the best we can hope for. Dust doesn't have a lot of experience removing bullets. One or two broken lion's teeth, a few arrowheads, and he did some slight practice at the recommendation of some elders when he was given this mission, but now is not the time for puting theory into action.
Dust very gently steps slightly back, and plants all four hooves on the ground. He prays, and all though Kira may possibly recognize a few words, he is speaking so fervently that she may have trouble in her current state. Dust definitely (not defiantly) takes on a very slight glow now, one that even Kira can recognize while outside. As he finishes praying, his now opening eyes appear very faintly green. He then makes a decision to maximize the surface area between them, purely to facilitate the transfer of magical energy, and gives the very poor noodle indeed a hug. She can feel herself become heavier, almost more solid as the pain starts to fade. Well, is it fading or is she getting stronger to face it?
