I've assumed that the "outside of nature's laws" refers the reindeer itself, rather than to the "thing" between the guy and the reindeer. The reindeer behaves kind of anthropomorphically, and its name "Sven," is actually spoken more times in the movie than the guy's name, including the character of Olaf incorrectly believing the guy's name to be Sven... to the point that I thought Sven was the guy's name, and I still don't remember his actual name. Also, the reindeer is male, and I am doubting they wanted to imply homosexual bestiality. But at the same time, it is Disney
