>>154486He smells like…..
chlorineMostly he doesn’t have a smell, though there is more than a hint of sweat.
“No… I don’t really want to stay the night here. I guess we can head back.”
>>154487Amber stands up, shifting her weight back and forth a few seconds to stretch her legs before turning to go. She smiles at Mustard with lidded eyes.
"Maybe we can camp here for real another time?" she asks.
>>154488He’s stopped laughing, stopped breathing audibly, and stopped smiling. He moves his muzzle down, and looks at the mess he has created.
“Maybe we can” he says. “I think this will be a nice place to come back to.”
>>154489She tries to find the trail they came up on. She's taking deep breaths of the cool fresh air.
"Thanks for taking me here, it really is magical. And for the…uh, cuddling." >>154490“Magical” he says. “That’s a good way to say it.” He pauses for a moment. “We don’t have to be done cuddling”
There may be a moment where Amber fears she’s lost the trail, but she does find it, as it leads away from the clearing, down the hill.
>>154491She giggles as she proceeds down the hill.
"I'm open to it, almost anytime. It's uh, bunches of fun," she says, blushing and looking behind her.
>>154492He moves besides her, and tries to rub himself against her. For most of the walk, he focuses on her, though he occasionally looks at the stars, or at the pine trees. Mustard proceeds slowly. The trees make a rustling sound as the wind blows.
“This has been fun.” He says
>>154493Amber has no objection to being rubbed, or rubbing him back. She's content to know he's there, and enjoys the feel of the cool earth underneath her hooves and the soft breeze blowing through her mane. Part of the way back she stops suddenly.
"Sorry, nature calls and I can't hold it the rest of the way," she says with a blush on her cheeks.
She trots over next to a tree, turns around to face him, and flips her tail over her back. Immediately a shimmering, heavy stream arches up from her backside and audibly splashes onto the ground. She looks straight ahead, not saying anything and avoiding eye contact.
>>154494He is a little surprised, but turns his head away from her, making an awkward grimace.
>>154495She clearly needed to relieve herself, as the stream lasts for half a minute then stops, only for it to resume for another ten seconds. When she finally finishes, she leaves the steaming patch and rejoins him with an awkward smile on her face.
"Shall we go?" >>154496"Heh. Yeah" He says. He joins her by her side, walking the trail down the side of the hill, going closer to the road. The wind is cool.
>>154497"My dress is on a tree branch hereabouts…" she says, looking around for it.
>>154498Roll die. Wisdom modifier"You... should get that" he says
>>154500Found it. It's on a branch tucked just a little ways away from the road, though not visible from there.
>>154501"Glad I found it so readily. It's important to have a good sense of direction on an outing like this," she says with a grin and a wink. She folds the dress and carries it on her back.
>>154502"Yeah" He waits for her, and looks around him. He looks a little surprised
"How'd you find that so easily?"
>>154504He looks over at the moss-covered rock.
"Huh.... well... That's neat."
The two walk along the road, and near the cliffs. An automobile drives by, and the two are illuminated in the headlights for a moment. The restaurant and shop are visible off in the distance, further away.
>>154505Amber makes sure they're well on the side of the road. She hopes those establishments will be open after all the romping in the woods they've been up to.
>>154506The restaurant is still open, with a light on. It must not be that late.
>>154507She pauses to straighten up her appearance, at least what little she can, and approaches the building with Mustard.
>>154508She still has substance caked over her belly, but her jacket helps. Mustard Trim adjusts his jacket, trying to cover himself.
Inside, a grey stallion cleans a table, a couple customers dine in one booth, and the pink mare sits in a chair reading what seems to be a textbook not far from the door.
>>154509Fortunately, the belly is one of the least visible parts of a pony, and at least she isn't discolored or smelling particularly strongly.
She whispers to Mustard,
"Who should we ask?" >>154510Of his own initiative, he approaches the pink mare as she sits and reads the... it looks like a math book, and asks her
"Hey, can you still help call that taxi?"
He has an awkward smile while she tries to evaluate him and her
>>154511Amber stands behind Mustard and paws the ground while smiling awkwardly at her.
Oh darn, I should have figured he would have approached the pretty filly. She's smart too, it's a good thing she doesn't live close to his house… >>154512It's Precalculus, by the way. The mare could absolutely be Amber's classmate, and she is thinner and lankier than her.
She answers Mustard's request
"Sure. Let me call one"
She stands up, moves over, and makes a call on the rotary phone
>>154513When the mare isn't looking her way, she squints to try to discern any details or characteristics. Probably won't be a serious contender for Mustard's affections, but you never know after all.
>>154516>Filler
well that's disappointingHer mane is well kept, she has a thinner overall appearance, and she doesn't speak much.
>>154517Oof, didn't mean I didn't appreciate it. I just don't like pushing you to spend half an hour thinking of/describing characters who probably won't appear again.Do colts prefer thinner mares? I think they do… she thinks to herself. But she's much less worried about Mustard than last time she was in the restaurant.
>>154518>Not putting effort into one-shot charactersWhile waiting for the taxi, he strikes up a conversation with her. Her name is Aster Spring. She lives in the nearby town of Maretime Bay (not Baltimare, fortunately for Amber) and is a senior in a public highschool there who is having difficulty with precalculus. Her father, the grey stallion who is helping clean up tables, owns this restaurant and has been running it for a decade. She helps him out here. Business has indeed not been great, especially since the invasion of the east coast. It has, however, been better in the last year or so, with Winter simply being a normal off-season.
Mustard speaks about being a waiter. He confesses that he suspects that he's being singled out at work for worse sections.
Taxi's here
>>154520"I'll be staying for the summer" She answers.
"Then I think I will go to college"
>>154522"I don't know yet" She answers
"I'll be applying this semester. My father will miss the help."
>>154523"Well then…best of luck, and thank you for the taxi call" says Amber with a small smile.
She bumps Mustard's cheek with her forehead.
"I think I heard the car outside." >>154524he is bumpedThe two go outside into the night to the waiting taxi. A green earth pony stallion is the driver, and the two get into the back. Mustard Trim opens the door for her
>>154525"Thank you!" She hops in and sets her dress down next to her. She sits in the middle of the bench with her forelegs between her hind legs and waits for Mustard to hop in.
>>154526He enters next to her and asks "Uh, where should I take you?"
>>154527"Um, my apartment, unless if you've got somethin' else in mind," she says, beaming at him.
>>154528He smiles, flattered
“I’m… not sure where else. Why don’t you tell the driver where to go?”
>>154529She shrugs. There's nowhere else they should really go in the state they're in. Leaning forward, she says,
"Driver, can you take us to…" and gives him her address.
>>154530The two begin the long drive back into the city.
>>154532"Yeah, I'd hate to have to trot that whole way. The hill and back was enough." He attempts to smile.
He turns and looks to her, gazing longingly.
>>154533She turns to him and bows her head to plant her forehead against his, looking deep into his eyes as well.
>>154534Before, under the light of the restaurant near the door, Amber could discern the individual frazzled hairs on his mane, the creases on his jacket, and the dirt on his legs. But in the backseat of the taxi, her view of him returns to veiled combination of a non-distinct black center with a blurred dark gold periphery. His eyes, visible mostly as pale white orbs with light blue rings, meet hers. His muzzle is longer than hers, and he starts the rub the fur of the top of his muzzle against her snout.
>>154535Amber joins in for him, pivoting her head to rub her velvety, sensitive nose up between his eyes and down to his own nose. She giggles softly as tingles pitter-patter down her spine.
