The taxi moves along west town, past single family homes, duplexes, smaller office buildings, dentist's offices, and elementary schools, until it takes a turn to go north. The factories, chemical plants, and tenement buildings of west town are not present here, and as the taxi goes further north what buildings there are become smaller and sparser. Eventually, the road dead ends at a road called Coffin Bay, a road the traffic signs say connects the towns of North Point and Maretime Bay.
Turning right, the road is at first surrounded on both sides by oak trees, but along the left, this quickly gives way to a view of the ocean down a rocky cliff. Sometimes, the road hugs the cliffside with metal railing. Other times, the road is a little further from the cliff, and there are hills or structures between the road and the ocean. Grass replaces trees, and to the right is a grassy hillside that blocks any view beyond. The waves of the ocean are larger than what exists in the shelter of the bay, and they move at an angle into the cliffside and the sometimes present rocky beach beneath them, moving west-southwest as the taxi moves from west to east. The sun is bright orange and hovers over the water, albeit likewise at a bit of an angle.
