There are no clothes on the floor, no depressions in the bed, and the only sign that anycreature has occupied the room is a couple candles and a couple pieces of wood, looks like they came from the sea, placed on a dresser on the far side.

“Smoked Salmon. Luis’s favorite.” She ruffles the top of Makade’s head, flopping his ears about. He scrunches, then bares his teeth. Waabishki giggles at the sight, and then sniffs the fillets fish before her.
