>>144677>>144574>>144532The rain that so mercifully ceased for the early hours of the night, has resumed its fall at moderate pace. Amber continues her walk down the long boulevards and simple streets through the city's grid pattern. It's a decent walk, and yet it's only a walk, all the same, as at least half of the inner portions of the city could be traversed in easy walking distance.
Amber has found Traveler street, traversing North and South. She can be pretty sure she's walked across this same road, albeit further north, along the way from her apartment to her places of work. And looking down it, she can see the side railings and upwards arch of a bridge. Before that, and to the right, is a tan brick structure, entirely rectangular in shape, several floors high and with simple, narrow windows where they are any windows at all. To the left of the same, is a mostly empty concrete lot ending in a few small, single story buildings that block a firm view of the river. Still, Amber can see lights on the other side, and lights that illuminate the lot. In front of the rectangular building is what is certainly the most impressive building there, with a red brick first floor, a grand stone stairway to a second floor, and walking paths above the first, before a set of ionic columns at least 30 feet tall that form the entrance of a larger rectangular building with a triangular roof in the center and patterns along the roof. This building, doubtless more impressive in the daylight than the limited light of the night, is completely dark, save for the lights in the front that illuminate the public street path.
In front of this same building is an open city block, with grass and multiple concrete paths along it. A bit off center and closer towards Amber is a statue of a pony rearing, surrounded by a small walkway. On a side opposite Traveler Street is a fountain. Nearer the side of the far building is a circular patch of concrete with an obelisk in the center, and a set of columns arranged in a half circle on the side facing Amber, and topped with stone.
To the left of the park, to the left of Traveller street, to Amber's left, and opposite across an east-west street and Traveler Street is a tan colored, multi colored building of brick with big windows and Doric columns at the street level entrance. To this building's side, but in front of Amber, and indeed almost directly in front of Amber, is a large row of both carts and Automobiles in blue color, parked by the building's side, and evidently wrapping back around the building.
Amber is not the only pony out at this hour. Parked in the open lot, a bit nearer the left, is a form that Amber can identify as a truck, colored in green and with a strangely metallic rectangular rear, along with an object protruding from between the cabin and the trailer. There are a couple ponies standing near it, who indeed, resemble pairs of ponies standing at many areas around the block. They have visible brimmed hats, thick green clothing, and the outline of a long object protruding from behind their backs. They are none too keen to be in the rain, and try to stand as close to buildings as possible. They are not alone, as ponies walk down streets, or come in and out of buildings, the building on the left in particular.
