>>129725I should clarify. Having determined "theres some shit with these bugs, it came from one of the mines" and then collecting heads, "Can SOMEpony PLEASE cast "gentle not-decaying, or whatever it is you call it?!" Brie only wants a certificate of "that mine is blowed the fuck up", he's quite content with his work and efforts so far
>>129728Unfortunately, the Changelings lack the magical enbalming of the ponies. What they
do have is vodka, and for Bries purposes, that will do. There is certainly more than one statement about what took place that afternoon, with the explosions and the strange happening. Perhaps few firm answers to exactly
why it happened, but the problem of the broken machinery has been stopped, and the virtue and incorruptibility of the Changeling Garrisons has been affirmed. Rather fortunately, as it assuages the fear of many that contact with ponies is eroding the moral values of the Changeling race
>>129727Iron couldn't help but place a hoof on his mouth, gently snickering at the awkwardly cute pose Sands was making in front of him.
However, his mind reminds him to be ready to intercept Khoi at the Watering Hole at the earliest in order for Cauldron to start working on getting far more free time than usual.
Iron better not be swooned by a violin and scare away at potential future renters. >>129730Alas, it's always a hazard. Speaking of a violin, where is our new player...She remains firmly asleep
>>129731Iron now inspects if the foreleg closest to the bed is still stuck inbetween it and a soft unicorn.
>>129729>>129725With the sun barely rising, a Changeling drone in one of their white winter uniforms runs up to Brie. He's not sure if he's seen that drone before. They kind of all look the same
"Herr Brie, we received a telegram from further West that a higher official is comming to Haysabi... To Blackwood, to here..."
He seems kind of nervous, with thin lips snarled up. Drones look almost odd, with their large saber teeth.
"The message was received earlier this morning.... we have only just been informed of the message from our operators. It has been hectic recently. She will be arriving imminently..."
It seems like less than a minute before there is a droning sound
"There! Her Storch!"
It doesn't look like any stork Brie's ever seen. It doesn't even look like a bird, more like a small plane that circles around, and lands in a very short strip besides the mine. Out from the plane exits one older looking drone in an officer's uniform, and next to him.... a
QueenShe's a little bit
pudgier than image's he's seen of Chrysalis... or perhaps, more
egg laden, but otherwise fairly similar in appearance. Tall, taller than any stallion or mare. A chipped horn, large wings, and blue-green abdomen
>>129732Yes, but fortunately, it's under her neck, which makes it easier to slip out
>>129735Sticking his tongue out, Iron carefully and tentatively tries to pull out from its fluffy confines in response.
(I should inspect my equipment. See if anything happened to it)
>>129736Carefully - Very carefully - Iron pulls the leg out from under her. He rubs against her... But she does not wake
>>129737Sighing in relief, Iron proceeds to slowly wiggle out of the bed, aiming to get to the bathroom in order to do a body inspection.
>>129725>>129728>>129733The Queen walks out, and is greeted by Macrurus and an assistant, who must exchange some words with her, and then points to Brie
She walks over slowly, followed by the drone in uniform
Her eyes are partly closed as she addresses Brie in Ponish, with a strange 'Double Voice' and relatively little other accent.
"So you are the drone - or pony - who caused quite a stir by coming to the border and asking to defect?"
>>129738Iron sees no visible sign of infection

8 ranks in hide

8 ranks in jump
4 ranks in profession: mechanic
1 rank in sense motive
8 ranks in survival
3 ranks in speak language (gives her 3 additional languages!)
Overview: Thundersnow is a tall and lanky but surprisingly strong unicorn pony who’s electric blue and has a yellow/pink mane that’s gelled to be really spiky. Her cutie mark is the Terran Republic logo because she LOVES order. She can jump good, is really stealthy and talk her way out of nearly any situation, because she speaks, besides Ponish: Changelingo, Griffon, and Wolvish (wolves helped get her come back east)
She comes from a village north of Los Pegasus which is the BEST city in Equestrian and lets you do anything you want while being really rich. At the time of the war she was an apprentice mechanic and showed a lot of promise with fixing vehicles. Then, everything changed when the changelings attacked. There wasn’t much fighting for the village because Thundersnow was busy fixing broken tanks (she’s a really good mechanic) but when the changelings took it they pillaged the town and raped her. Not anypony else, just her, because she was the most attractive mare in the village so she lured all the changelings to herself in a rape train, saving the survivors from that fate in a sense. However, when she thought it was all over the rape train formed up again and this time did anal. Getting raped messed up her mind so she’s attracted only to mares now. As revenge for this she burned down the town while all the changelings were still in their afterglow and couldn’t see her. Naturally she hates all changelings WITH A BURNING PASSION and wants to eradicate them with lawful-good-compliant torture, hence why she became a paladin. She also hates ponies who lie though she’s smart enough to usually tell when they’re trying to trick her. Things she loves are jumping high, sex (only with mares, though), stuffed animals, fixing vehicles which she’s really good at, and working out (she wants to become a bodybuilder). She thinks every creature deserves a second chance and is probably inherently good. Her favorite food is nachos because they come from her region and her favorite drinks are lemonade and pink lemonade because they match her mane.
>>129738There's nothing visible that seems off. No promises on the smell
>>129741Iron tilts his head, admittedly quite surprised at this turn of events, before sitting on his rump and trying to approach his sheathe for an olfatory checkup.
>>129740Um, pic in
>>129741 is definitely for you
>>129742It's... Should definitely wash it
>>129743Scrunching up slightly, the stallion looks around for the magical washing spot that is the bath and gets inside, going straight to work on how to release the water from its confines.
>>129744You turn the one knob, and it's cold. You turn the other, and it's hot. Too hot. Almost scalding. Iron can't get the bubbles to turn on, but he figures out the (mostly cold) water
At the crack of a wintry dawn a pony in a long midnight blue dress and a dark cloak cautiously places a hoof on the stone platform, but hurriedly jumps onto it after her fellow passengers start jostling past her. The auburn-maned earth pony remains mindful of her laden saddlebags but takes the time to look around the platform. She takes a deep breath of the likely polluted air and tries to hear herself think over the train letting off steam.

Well, I made it to Baltimare. All alone. Hopefully I can get to where I need to.[/color]
>>129742Reeee I didn't want my introduction to be right next to a character looking at his own genitals>>129745Iron shivers at the cold water, but breathes deeply before sinking his body under the stream, rubbing his body up in order to rid himself of the unwelcome smell.
>>129746Sorry. The upper naughty hole is cursed to make the males look down there after pounding it. >>129746Her first views of the new local are oscured behind a thick veil of steam released from the pistons of the locomotive. The veil slowly dissipates and fades away, and through the mist, she sees tile floors, tall vaulted stone coverings over the platform, and many ponies... but a few non-ponies as well. Griffins, Zebra, a hippogriff. Not many, but more than she
ever saw back home, or indeed, in her whole life. A stallion in a trench coat and hat walks past with confidence. A mare with a few foals sits by the track, evidently waiting for somepony to exit the train. Beyond the ponies on the platforms, or heading to and from the platforms with their big sets of luggage, there are the doors leading into the station
Kek! I'm not sure there is a better way for the thread to say "Welcome to Baltimare"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bDD914rahc>>129747The soap helps, as Iron is slowly able to clean himself
>>129748After ensuring he rubbed out the naughty off of him and rinsing himself off the alien, slippery substance that flew off his hooves a couple of times, he finally manages himself to feel clean enough to get out and dry himself.
>>129749There are several cloths like the ones Iron found in the Bathroom of Maake's apartment They hold water well, he knows
>>129748The young mare looks around in awe at the sights.
I'll have time to see everything later, I'd better hurry. Without much prior thought she trots over to a close by creature.
"Hello there? I'm new here and I could use some directions." >>129750Iron stared at the alien cloth, poutling lightly. "You things are weird," he mutters before picking a couple of them, setting them on the floor and promptly rolling on them to dry himself.
>>129751A mare looks over strangely at her, and moves a small foal to the other side
>>129752It's.... well, it's not entirely ineffective. Iron partly dries
>>129753"This will do," he whispers softly before hopping back into a standing position, puffing his chest out, annoucing to the world that he was indeed ready to meet a new day.
With a confident strut, he opens the door up, only for his stomach to rumble loudly under him, reminding him of the lack of food in his system, blankly looking up slightly in his confident pose.
"...how did I get food here again?" Iron mutters softly as he glances around the room to find the magic ordering machine, walking over to it.
>>129754Iron sees the bronze implement, with its hole-filled wheel
>>129753The yellowish mare with purple eyes smiles reassuringly and speaks with a bit of a country accent that tinges her youthful voice.
"Hello ma'am, excuse me if I'm keeping you." She blushes a bit as she continues,
"I'm planning on finding work somewhere in the city. Can you recommend an area where I can find employment?" >>129755"Hm..." Iron ponders, trying to remember how Sands had done it the day before as he eyed the machine.
>>129756"Wouldn't we all?" She says, a hoof on what is presumably one of her colts, "There are signs in some of the shops. I don't know. I am waiting for my husband"
>>129757It was some kind of sequence of placing the hoof in a specific hole, and moving it
>>129758Iron proceeds to try it out for himself a couple of times, seeing if his witnessing may yield a good result out of pure luck.
[1d20 = 19]<Watch in awe, for the native is attempting technology!
>>129759Uh....
A voice comes through
"Operator speak, to whom may I transfer you?"
>>129758She looks away awkwardly.
"Sorry to bother you. Have a nice day." The young mare turns around and starts to head for the doors to the main hall.
>>129760Iron's eyes widened at hearing another pony's voice, blinking softly. "Huh? Are you the food deliverers?" he asks incredulously, still in awe he's hearing a voice somewhere whispering to his ear.
>>129761Going into the hall, she finds herself in room with a much higher stone ceiling, ionic columns and a few shops on the lower level, with a railing on the floor above
>>129762"Are you looking for room service?" the female voice asks
>>129764"Um..." Iron pauses, confused about this
overly complicated jargon be spewed out of this female machine "...yes...?"
>>129763Is the colored text difficult to read? I can keep playing around with it.The traveler stops in her tracks and looks around in awe.
My…this room could fit my whole house inside. After a few seconds of staring, however, she blinks and starts walking, still glancing around at what catches her eye. She decides to approach another stranger.
>>129765"One moment.
click ring ring ring ring ring, ring ring ring ring,
click. Yeah? Room service" It's a stallion answering
>>129766She finds a stallion in a long trenchcoat, with a fedora and a briefcase. He smiles to her
"Well hello, young mare"
>>129768"Woah," he uttered out as the voice changed tone in a couple of blinks "a-are you the fabled room service.. thing?"
>>129769".... Yeah? What'chu want?"
>>129770"Oh, could you bring me some food, machine pony?" he promptly asks "Any will do."
>>129767Hopefully this is better>>129768She smiles shyly and maintains eye contact only intermittently.
"Hello, sir. Pardon me for asking, but I just got off the train and this is my first time to Baltimare; do you know of where I can find work? Of course a lot of ponies probably ask this, but I just want some advice so I can settle down before nightfall." >>129771"Uh, what'chu askin' for? Like a breakfast plate?"
>>129772He smiles more
"Oh missy, they're hiring plenty of mares nowadays, if you don't mind factory work. Store clerks, typists and radio operators too. More than they used to, anyways"
>>129774Iron nods a couple of times, thinking the machine pony would understand it.
>>129774Her ears perk up at his response.
"I never learned typing, and I don't know much about machinery, but I'm not too picky. Is there a street with lots of stores?" A grin tugs at the corners of her mouth as she leans back and forth on her forelegs, awaiting an answer.
