All the nsfw board does is ruin the incentive to post porn on mlpol. People will choose the easiest method of doing things, why bother with harnessing your libido to protect this site when you can just lurk /nsfw/?

I can understand wanting to branch out and it might not be a big deal for now but I'm worried about cliques and niches forming in the userbase down the road. You don't want users settling down into one board and not branching out.

Thank you for expressing this concern. I'm passionate about this community and site as well, and the last thing I want to see is a rift form in it. That being said, the reality of any given community is that it evolves, and develops; as that occurs, more creativity and oc should be given a chance to flourish. I see no reason to stagnate a fresh, quickly growing community, or any community for that matter. Finally, rest assured that staff will intervene should harmful division and in fighting takes root.

The intent of /nsfw/ is more of an ammo dump than an actual board one would browse on the day-to-day. Porn is expected and encouraged on /mlpol/ as usual.

The reason that we ended up divided on 4chan is because the divides were enforced as bannable, the sfw boards and nsfw boards were cross bannable no ponies here, no politics there blah blah keep to your containment board

I have three reasons for my decision to make a nsfw board, <br>
1. the first board was filling up, old threads were being deleted faster than you think, we needed to expand to allow people to discuss more over longer periods of time, the slow pace is comfy and we all like that<br>
2. when the shills come, and they will, we need to be ready, sadly not everyone will be ready, many people don't have a giant supply of weaponized pony poon to post, a nsfw board would give them a place to go, stock up, and launch an attack. again <b><span style="color:red">THERE WILL NEVER BE AN ENFORCEMENT OF BOARD TOPICS</span></b> say what you want, where you want, how you want<br>
3. People will want to find certain topics faster and easier, without the need to sort through a whole board to find one thread about pony tang, this board will give them that. just like how we made QA so that you can ask us questions and we can find them quickly, people still ask us stuff on the main board, but it's just harder to find, we're talking literally hundreds of posts 1.5 gigs of images and data to sort through, sometimes it's just easier to click the link that says what you want.

If anything can we get a sticky on nsfw strictly making it a dump site? Or encouraging them to post porn in mlpol? Even then I'd perfer mlpol be the dump site, theres just too little incentive to gross out normies on mlpol if everyone can get their porn on nsfw. Its just an unnecessary diversion of energy and motivation. Id much perfer all porn on mlpol. A request thread on mlpol reaching image limit od far better than a shill thread with a bump limit. But see how it goes. If theres a lack of porn shielding, just remove the board
