I, for one, believe we need infamy. The same sort of infamy that 4chan had for a long time - it brought about the speed, creativity, and a constant flow of fresh users to add to the boards - which made for a remarkable userbase. Except that we can't commit the same mistakes that they did; we cannot accept low quality threads or open agendas among moderators. We need to do the same that 4chan did, except not allow the mods to decline in quality. We'd never need to even think of an exodus if 4chan's moderation wasn't openly hostile to it's users and culture.

As far are "broken links" being under review, there are much simpler solution. There are ways to tell the browser to not pass the referrer, either in browser or in site. Specifically in Firefox, in about:config there's "network.http.referer.XOriginPolicy" which is set to 0 by default. Setting it to 1 sets it to pass on referers only within one domain, and 2 only to a subdomain.

I agree. Right now we have an incredibly dedicated staff, and I'm really hoping that fire and passion stays. The good thing about the staff as we have it is we've all got good communication and all of us have a LOT of background in chans, and we've got a good representation from both boards, so while I'll know when an /mlp/ shitpost shows up, Atlas can smell /pol/ shills.

As far as infamy, That's the next step. I personally feel like we need to start up the raids again, but this time we need to be the face of them. We've got the staff, we've got the porn, and we've got the willingness to use both to drive off the undesirables whilst bringing in new blood.

After we get our suggestions on the (digital)paper, we can use strawpoll to vote on these and see how each suggestion is popular.

I agree with some raids for the sake of (you)s.
That being said I see mlpol.net more of a sanctuary and gathering ground for us. I think that raids and activism should be micromanaged offsite.

There are also probably more secure alternatives do discord but they are usually less fun. I know a discord server where we used to organize few small raids in our past.

If we have to openly propagate our website then at least we should be the fun kind of riders that natives in our prey websites can tolerate and not just mindless shitposters.

If we end up low on manpower again, we can just look for smaller communities/websites.
Raid on /po/ worked well and was fun even with smaller numbers.

We could probably have some friendly sparring with /pone/ on 8chan too.

Also there are bound to be more MLP fans and politics/cosnpiracy enthusiats on the internet aside chan websites.

/mlpol/ was arguably at it's peak of creativity during the first war. Most OCs were based around it and with our retreat into mlpol.net, things have been on the decline.

As a previous advocate for rule 1+2, I also support the loosening of restrictions if we're just going to be talking about this place on 4chan.

We broke a total of 10k posts on the site already, and approaching 600 uniqe users. It is going nicely. It's occurred to me that ANY Internet acct. that isn't actively being used to access 4chan can therefore be weaponized against it, if the access owner permits. I think the stream of new blood should be in realtion to the userbase. The less users the slower the gain of new members should be.
The reason for this is simple: If a few new people join they need to addapt at least to a certain degree. If a horde joins they have a profound effect on the board.

Rule 1&2 are important in my estimation because it protects us from unwanted attention.
If it is leaked under controlled circumstances it can be broken. Aryanne threads on different boards are a pretty sure way to get the word out.

Another thing I'd like to mention is labels.
I am against it.

We are users of an imageboard and there is no need to put flags anywhere or to create an artificial group identity past polnies.
If we were to do raids or RL activities I think it be wise to use misleading information or signs o that we know who did it but nobody else.

I am /pol/tard. I have made this my home since i saw it linked from endchan. This site has greatly improved in the short time it has been around, I want to thank all those who contributed. I like pones because they take the edge off the constant pessimism i find myself feeling from being mired in politics. I don't think there will be an adverse effect from more openly advertising this board. The only reason the shilling and reddit retards is so bad on 4pol is because that is what the mods and admins of that site want. Aryanne is my favorite pony and the fact that she existed before /mlpol/ gives me strong faith in horsefuckers. I feel sorry for you but you gotta understand our position. This is a young website. We don't plan to do any activism publicly any time soon or bring unwanted attention. If you are proud of your political stance, thats great. If you choose to parade it on social media, whatever floats your boat.

However I would like to tell you about what we learned as we started building up this community.
-/pol/ was originally place for people of differing political views to discuss without political correctness. That changed drastically around the time US election last year happened. When activism at /pol/ hit all time high, it marked the begining of polarization of the community. Posters at /pol/ eventually joined one of two sides and this stiffled actual constructive political discussion.

-Rampart worship of pepe the frog started minor circlejerk(random discussion thats not productive or it belongs in its current board) around it. A small dent on /pol/, but nevertheless it ramains so.

-Influx of posters new to /pol/'s culture did real damage on /pol/. They didn't bother to understand the culture and custums before posting. They were easily swayed into circlejerks. AND MOST OF ALL they easily fell prey to baiting and mockery threads made by shareblue shills or bots.

-Last development I witnessed before leaving /pol/ for good was increased polarization on the board together with increasingly prevalent shill paranoia. >>684 This exact post, your post, shows the sign of paranoia.

-Later after I moved out, I saw leaked screenshot taken at some discord showing T_Donald tier Discord server. It showed Reddit Donald Supporters behaving oddly like the shills they hate, except in favor of Trump.
Can you imagine what impression this makes on people like me? Those redditors became the monsters they hated so much. They are dead for us.
Thankfully, however this theory later seemed to prove false.

-Another lesson, for life too.
Remember how 4/pol/ used to say that Intelligence agencies couldn't beat them and how all attacks against them are like pissing into the sea of piss?
Well, I think they were wrong. While else you 50% people are /pol/acks? Its matter of time until shareblue completely removes remmnants of constructive discussion from there. Its over for /pol/.

Overconfidence breeds missteps and failures.

Not sure how well we would be received on EQD if I'm quite honest, it's still very possible to allocate users from other sites such as 8chan and reddit

There's been political memes of pones for years, (just look at derpibooru) it's not like they haven't seen some of them as far as hasbro goes. EQD on the other hand tends to be more protective as they have a much younger and edgier audience.
