What seems to have happened is Hasbro got hacked. This led to accessing emails. From that hack it seems ftp accounts at DHX were found for the FTP server. That was then accessed to download the content from DHX.

So this is probably related to so much of MLP being developed internationally and coordinated over the internet. Any one of these servers, when hacked, gives access to the others.

Also it looks like DHX was using FTP which sends passwords and data unencrypted. FTP isn't secure.

I guess artists can't IT. Hasbro and DHX need proper IT people.

I really like all these family episodes, though. I love cute little poners, so it's always nice to meet more– especially when they have relation to the ponies you already know and love– and watching them fuss over their kids is adorable and heartwarming.

I loved Parental Glideance to a fault. Its character progression within the episode being delivered emotionally well. This episode didn't have it. Throughout the episode, the character duo's attitudes towards their parents felt as forced as their reconcilliations were from start to finish. It seemed like they still hated their parents by the time they had "an ephiphany" when they begrudgingly went to finally end the conflict. Glimmer emotes like a robot. Probably because this episode framed her as a friendhip robot. With the logical goal to progress through the friendship problem as quickly as it would take. If we go by the comparison to Parental Glideance, at least Dash is a cunt. She has some emotional drive to apologise. In contrast, if Glimmer didn't have to do the same because of the table mcguffin deciding the resolution through pony bat signals, it would be safe to assume she wuld have fucking hopped the next train like an even bigger cunt like Sunburst was.
Some simple character interaction and body language could have saved the plot to this nonetheless "meh" episode. I say "meh" because we've seen it before and the characters didn't justify seeing it again.

The porn was the best part though.

They have no good reason for removing Applejack. Only motive is because she isn't bringing in as much money as other characters. Only reason she isn't bringing in as much money is because there possibly isn't as many kids who relate to her. But said in another way there are fare more people consuming food than there is people producing food. So if there is a little girl growing up in a rural area, and her family is farmers, she might identify with Applejack and like her. People in cities might relate more to other characters, and there is far more people in the cities than in rural areas (duh). But the message Hasbro is sending to that little girl by removing Applejack, or rewrite her character, is that she (the girl) is not worth keeping around.
