I actually feel like this will at some point, and that /mlpol/ will loose steam. It depends on how interested we can keep people in MLP, as well as release content for MLP.
As much as I hate to admit it, I think the whole mlp + pol thing is a fad that will die eventually. To have the same effect that mlpol had, we might have to branch out to include other cartoons meant for little girls.
It would be kind of cool if /mlpol/ could somehow fund its own series of cutesy cartoon characters and canonly pass them off as being political.

My assumption is that there are a lot of anons here that are in college still, and right now is their finals. Since the majority here are right wingers, it can be assumed that they actually care about their studies and are in a STEM field. I fully expect for there to be more posters in about 2 weeks. There is also the fact that the community is slowly dying, but everyone knows that.

An animated cartoon? Depends. Do you want it to be super good? Lots of artists get together and work on projects for free. However in order to get that big-budget look, they need connections.
If you don't already have that circle of friends you can go do for the cartoon, it could end up being hundreds of thousands.

Watched the show from the first episode, I found it when I was looking for something for my sibling to watch. It was Entertaining I didn't even think about the gender specifics of it, that being said I was no fan I just watched the show 'tis all. however when I realized the fandom was not what it was ridiculed to be it changed me forever, and I truly appreciate it, and now I'm a horse fu*er. What /mlpol/ should do is have a new base in which all new OC is based off of. Take for example Fallout Equestria (FE). FE is a merger between Fallout, and the show. It has grown so popular, there is fan fiction of the fan fiction, and purely FE related fan art. While FE is based off of the show, the character and the setting have become separate entities from the show. If the show ever influences the writing of FE, then it adds, not dilutes the source material. This means that no matter how shitty the show gets, FE will have the same base the look towards.

Right now /mlpol/ still relies on /mlp/ and /pol/ style content to get by. It is shackled to its origins, and has not progressed much beyond it. We must break these bindings and become something unique, and original OC is the way to do it. /pol/ will always be better at being /pol/ than /mlpol/. /mlp/ will always be better at being /mlp/ than /mlpol/. What /pol/ and /mlp/ cannot compete with is /mlpol/ being /mlpol/. What /mlpol/ is up to us to decide.

Been working with blender since the early 2.49b days (Around 8 years now) so you could count me in on a project for a cartoon. Though I'm an environmental artist so I'd be more into the "3D Backgrounds" area myself.

True that out of context, I hope, there is some to be desired by Cheerilee's teaching methods. But unless CMC is suffering from Stockholm syndrome, something I don't think they are, I want to believe them when they say she is the best teacher they could hope for. Also assuming "hope for" don't entail that the educational system of Equestria is in total shambles.
So in total I think we haven't seen enough of the teaching curriculum to assert if Cheerilee is doing a bad job. CMC is doing good and they are good role models to follow so I don't think the teaching can be all that bad. But CMC also have the fact that they are a trio going for them.

Ponks isn't as much of a hedonist, her life goal is after all to make everyone she can happy. Her ability to make everyone feel included and special isn't hedonistic because even if it gives her pleasure to see others happy its not out of only attempting to get pleasure on why she tries to obtain it.

Harshwhinny on the other hand is boring and as far as we see can't produce anything but only judges. If I remember correctly she was only "dating" Big Macintosh because the CMC gave them both some kind of mind control potion; I don't think that really counts tbh. Also, I think the bullying situation for the CMC is a fairly common trope in TV shows that's used because kids can relate to it. Usually bullies are pretty subtle and know how to act properly in front of teachers and then act differently when no adult is watching.
