What does /mlpol/ know about this place?
I was going through the 'history of /mlpol/' thread in the archive and saw it mentioned as part of /mlp/'s saga of development. Is it worth lurking? Would it be a worthwhile project for us to try reaching out to them for new users?

I skimmed a couple boards, there's posts from a couple days ago. I don't get the impression it's hugely active but people clearly still post there. Was just curious if any of the /mlp/ anons were familiar with it.

I used to lurk ponychan back in the day. It's nothing but trash - general discussion is dominated by depressed teens, there was avatar fagging everywhere and I think at some point /mlp/ doxed some of the namefags or something. The mods were also pretty overbearing from what I understand.

Ponychan isn't as significant to pony history as people claimed it to be. I mean, it has its small part, but there was other splinter sites that I forget the name of, like mlpg and some other pony forum, and it's largely forgettable. It just became a part of history, because the newfags went by word of mouth by other newfags. It used be a haven, even after the Scruffening. However, much of it degenerate into namefagotry circlejerks not anymore about mlp in the slightest. And, that's it. I'm not sure how new a lot of us are into this site, but I remember when the staff and Atlas were refused any cooperation in gaining new members with Ponychan. We didn't have a lot of friends back then.
