So, it seems the shock of Syria and the Moab have finally settled. Does anyone have any new opinions about Trump? I personally feel like some people got their hopes up to much on /pol/, and when he didn't turn out to be the second coming of Hitler they blew a fuse. Any other takes on this?

Cautious optimism. I'm pleased with most of what he's doing, though I'm not so stoked about him loving Jews.

One thing I don't get is the shills who post shit like "I bet you regret voting for him now!"

I'll never regret voting for him because the other option was a literally evil cunt.

I never put much faith in Trump to begin with. I knew he was unlikely to follow through on his promises, but he was the only chance we had. Hillary certainly wasn't going to build the beaner wall.

I never liked him that much. His protectionism and support of eminent domain, along with a few other authoritarian policies, kept me away. I did see him as being preferable to Hillary, but that would apply to anyone short of Pol Pot. And now that he's in office, he's supported Obamacare lite and continuing neocon foreign policy, which reaffirms my opposal to him.

Fair point, but we do have to remember it literally impossible for him to get anything done if he says shit about Jews. But yes, I do think he should tone down the pandering.

Still prefer him over the alternative of Hillary. We she would be put in jail but I also wish T Blair was put in jail. These things will never happen.
I though Trump would be more US centralist but he seems to have moved go onto the US controls the world narrative quite fast. However as he acting differently to those before with big bombs and instant reactions it might work. I hate the bickering between N Korea and Japan as I know it is all mouth on both sides. If Trump succeeds in stopping this then all good to him. I would not be surprised if he dropped one of the big bombs and each of the three sites suspected of nuclear testing. Not convinced they tested anything but normal explosives but would urge caution on any bunker busting for a couple week after the tests just in case.

If he's not dead by his first year in office, I will count him as a success.

If he pisses off the dems, he's going to get killed by the establishment; if he pisses off his base, he's going to be guillotined.

As of today, he has had close passes with both of those options. Hopefully, he can reorient himself to a better bargaining position than what he currently has.

Otherwise, he's a dead man, followed very closely by a dying, balkanized country.

Trump's at least kind of funny. Hillary would have just been a jewish puppet without any entertainment on the side.
Don't get me wrong, a voter's choice wouldn't make one single lick of difference as long as they vote for a main ('media spotlighted') candidate. Even Vermin Supreme would've made a better dictator.

I'm not overly happy to still be involved in the middle east, but he's still making some great changes, and is trying to do great things that was promised to the people by so many previous politicians, ie the southern boarder wall. Promised to us by at least the 4 past presidents, and never happened.

Economy is also starting to turn around, property is flying all over the place, investors are moving back in, promises of cutting taxes for corporations, creating tariffs that make American goods competitive in America. Even if a lot of it is superficial right now, it's the attitude in the people that has completely changed.

Even if he can only accomplish a few of his promises, he would have done more then any other previous president in the past 50+ years to make America a better place.

From what i can tell, he's set on keeping all of them.

I do want him to go after his political rivals like a new communist dictator securing power though. Hillary, Obama, Soros, and a dime a dozen others, need to be jailed or hanged asap. The longer they are free, the more damage they can cause. We have more then enough evidence to prove their criminals, tied to everything from greasing palms, selling American secrets and assets for personal gain, child rapists, to underworld drug lord king pins right next to the Bushes.
They act like they are above the law, and as far as i can tell, they are. Simply because they bought out or just straight up secured their own people in the places of justice.

They need to be stopped if America has any hope for a future, regardless of president.

To be honest I never expected much from him to begin with. During the primaries I was against him mostly because I figured he was going to blow what was otherwise a pretty winnable election for the Republicans, and as soon as he got the nomination I basically assumed it was all over and Obama II was going to be the next president.

That said he's actually done nothing but pleasantly surprise me for the most part; I didn't think he'd win but he did, I didn't think he'd get anything done but so far he's accomplished quite a bit, more than Obama had at the same point in time during his first term. I like what he's done as far as rolling back regulations and getting the economy going again, I'm not as mad about the Syria thing as some people are (I think it was a good political move at any rate), and he's kept his word about being tough on immigration. I would like to see the wall get built, but since I never really thought it would get built in the first place I wouldn't consider that a mark against him. It wouldn't have gotten built under Clinton one way or the other.

Only things he's done so far that disappointed me would be the failure to get the travel ban implemented (which was some left-wing judge's fault), the failure to repeal Obamacare (which was almost entirely Congress' fault), and the internet privacy thing, which is I guess the only thing Trump personally has been responsible for that I don't approve of.

The main thing is that although he wasn't my personal preference, I did vote for him, and frankly it would take a lot for me to not vote for him again in 2020, like pretty much no matter what he does he's likely to be preferable to whoever the Democrats end up running.

Daddy! Bomb them for Jared….jpg
Trump seems to be either being drugged, blackmailed, under MKULTRA, or some other kind of coercive influence (insert Princess Ivanka joke here).

Trump was always known not only for being energetic but for being mentally sharp. But coinciding with his 180 on the things the promised America he'd do his speech, his movements, even simple things like tweets are all dull, slow.

Given Kushner and Goldman Sachs have no problem with the idea of killing millions of people to achieve their aims, it doesn't seem unreasonable to believe they'd be willing to control someone in order to install their ancient dream of global government.

I also note that in early March the MSM was full of stories how Trump was in a mortal battle with the Deep State, and Obama had taken residence in a fancy D.C. house and was promising to lead "The Resistance" until Trump was overthrown. Then suddenly Obama disappears from both the news and the country, and Trump *becomes* the Deep State. I don't think those two are unrelated.

Whatever the reason, our lesson should be we need to continue to work and organize and control our own country. While we did those things in the fall, we fell into the old habit of hoping that if we elect the right person we wouldn't have to do any more work. That false belief is what's allowed America to get so far off track. So last fall wasn't the war, it was simply the opening battle in a war we must continue to fight if we're to save our country and our world.

The honeymoon phase has worn off. I knew he was a chaos candidate, and that's exactly what I got. You can see it in the debates; he's fun, but he just can't fucking focus on anything and it gets pretty tedious. Not a fan of the strike in Syria, not a fan of the healthcare bill, not a fan of his authoritarian bent in regard to internet neutrality and privacy. I think we'll be getting good and bad calls out of him kind of randomly these next four years and we just have to buckle up and pray. He'd have to do way worse to make me wish I'd voted for the wicked witch of Washington. I like how we're already getting fewer illegal immigrants. Not pussyfooting around with ISIS is cool, and at least that obnoxious rooshin hax0r/agent narrative is dead now. Fuck, that's probably why he did it.

In reality, Obama was no better or worse than Bush, who was no better or worse than Clinton (who was no better or worse than Bush, who was no better or worse than Reagan, etc, etc, etc.)

As it goes on, Trump will be no better or worse than any of the rest of them. They're all the fucking same. The hard left tears from his winning are incredibly sweet, but too much overall was expected. He was still the official Republican candidate & you don't get the nomination of either of the big 2 without having proved you're willing to suck a LOT of the same dicks every other president sucks.

Yes, Reagen was a shit president, we have him to thank for the petro dollar. Bush senior was shit, he was nothing but a cheerleader, Clinton sold out congress and made backdoor deals in the middle east. Bush jr was a hard fuckup, we have "no child left behind act" that fucked up our schools funding system and made heavy way for common core education. Then Obombo gave us socialist healthcare named "affordable care act" that was being strapped together with duct tape and over funding to sustain itself from collapsing in on itself. Gave way to "Nuclear voting" which allows the senate to ignore the required number of senators to pass a bill and just go with majority. You also had insane amounts of executive orders and large amounts of money missing. You also had the 3 trillion barrowed from china that went straight into the banks and the clinton foundation that destributed it among democrates to fund election campaigns on the backs of future americans which already have 2 lifetimes of work to pay off the debt of the baby boomers.

The key thing here, is Trump is not a politician. It showed as media, the system, and every other billionair decided to shit on him the moment he announced he was running. Chances are he probably won't sell us out like all the others, but unlike you, I'm actually going to wait for him to fuck us over before I start grouping him with the rest of those failures.

I'm saying every 'modern' president sucked metaphorical dicks to get there, and every 'modern' president continues to suck them their entire terms. That sucking metaphorical dick is inherent in the process of becoming either a Democrat or Republican president, and those uninterested in or unwilling to suck the equivalent of the eastern seaboard's combined truckstops worth of metaphorical dick should not even attempt to gain the nomination of either of those parties, because they will not do so without sucking all that metaphorical dick.
Being a billionaire does not make one able to skip the dick sucking.

>>8861
Nixon & Kissinger are to thank for the petrodollar; & it will most likely collapse under Trump, although that won't necessarily be his fault unless he fucks up pretty badly & hastens the demise somehow.
The ACA is a joke that's far more akin to a government supported equivalent of the requirement for auto insurance to drive in most states, & was a fucking packaged gift to the insurance industries. It really doesn't resemble socialism all that much, as people on it really can't get jack shit that they require medically done under it, it just pays for one to go to a doctor & have them tell them the insurance won't cover treatment for this or that condition they have, at costs inflated more than they were without it. Outright fucking british style National Health socialist healthcare would be far more efficient & cost effective than that garbage.
>"Nuclear voting" which allows the senate to ignore the required number of senators to pass a bill and just go with majority
Which will work out well now that Repubs are in the majority, just like their ending filibusters for judicial nominees will work in the Dem's favor when they are.
I'm not trying, at all, to defend fucking Obama.
>It showed as media, the system, and every other billionair decided to shit on him the moment he announced he was running.
And the vast majority fell right the fuck in line once he became the nominee, at least on the right wing side, as was expected. Because he proved behind the scenes he was willing to suck the required metaphorical dicks, and they knew he was their absolute best chance at winning this one.

While I think after a week I'm no longer fully pessimistic about this administration, the feeling of optimism is over. Whereas before I was completely willing to give each new questionable appointment the benefit of a doubt, now I see it as a possible affirmation that he has indeed turned his back on the principles he ran on, that he has become yet another establishment neocon. He's been doing marvelous at border security enforcement though, which is the main thing I wanted out of this administration

No matter what he does, I will never regret voting for him over HRC. We pretty much knew what she would do and what would happen if elected. It didn't sound too good. I had high hopes for Trump when voting for him, but we all should have known from his actions during the campaign that he can be pretty unpredictable.
But that's why I don't regret voting for him, because an unpredictable president that has the potential to do either very good or very bad will always be better than a predictable president who only has the potential to do very, very bad.
Obviously that doesn't mean he's immune to criticism from me or anyone. I'm not some dick sucking Redditor.

Been real skeptical of him lately with the missile strike though. I dont buy this 4d chess nonsense. Plus it's been known since the start he was a shabbos goy.

His domestic policy seems good however. What's really interesting about him is that he could set a precedent for more anti-globalisation candidates to get elected down the track. In 8 years I think we'll see a lot of Republicans trying to emulate Trump (if war doesn't start).

Right now, I'd say it's quite likely a major could break out under his watch. But if Hillary was up there, we'd already be a pile of radioactive ashes.

Healthcare was never really Trump's strong issue anyway, he gave it a shot because it was one of his campaign promises to repeal Obamacare and replace it with something "great", but I don't think he ever really knew what he was doing. From what I understand he basically just told Ryan to work something out and he'd push whatever it was. It was a bad bill but the whole debacle is mostly Congress' fault; other than tell people to vote for it there wasn't much Trump could do. I really wish they would stop pussyfooting around it and just repeal the stupid law already, worry about replacing it later. We'll see how it goes.

Mostly I like that he's being tough on immigration, I like Gorsuch, I like Sessions, and I like that liberals are still crying delicious tears. He'd honestly have to really, seriously, majoryly fuck up to make me not vote for him again in 2020.

I think Trump has tried to carry out what he said in his campaign. You can not really blame him for his losses and obviously there is plenty of new information to get one you are in power. That has probably changed his way of thinking.
I think the Syrian bomb was for the benefit of the Chinese. He drops it and they can go back and inform N Korea that a bomb awaits all there testing sites if they do not calm down. I do not like violence and do not see it as a long term solution but can understand it is something better than the shit we have had to put up with for the last 50 years.
