Isn't standard practice in most Western countries to only report what your therapy patients say to the police if they could potentially harm themselves or others? Is that not true in Germany, or is there an exemption specifically being made for pedos?

I don't have a problem with this either. If something is effective in making potential child molesters less likely to act on their urges and it doesn't harm anyone, I don't care how it's done.

It's for the best though. If the therapist has to report by law, the pedo won't tell him. This means that the impending incident is plotted in secret. If the therapist doesn't have to report, at least the therapist can talk them out of it. It's shitty, but it could help avoid these things from happening.

It is worth pointing out that this type of media stories started turning up after PizzaGate. Another strategy they employed was Fake News narrative. The merits of this can't be decided until we stats on the results.

Why would a pedophile who hasn't molested anyone specifically need a psychiatrist that offers "legal privacy"? They can go to any regular psychiatrist.
This isn't really about helping pedophiles, they wouldn't need a campaign about legal protection if it was. They're trying to move an overton window by talking about "treatment" a lot.
