>>368779Sounds like fun. I'd be down for a gift exchange but if others don't feel like they have enough time this year that e-card idea sounds like a good placeholder to flesh it out for next year.
I'd love to do this!
Hopefully pupper or somebody could be asked nicely enough to set up a simple secure form submission page for such a thing in a shortish amount of time.
Pretty much the only assumed thing for everyone signing up is the love of Aryanne I think.
Christmas is probably the most sacred event that Aryanne participates in too, right behind having foals.
I think we should do this even if its only 4 people.
I'm already participating in the other exchange, so I could probably just add this to it.
The other exchange just had the switchover to latecomer signups, so if we're doing things this year, we should get to it and probably aim to have the forms for people to sign up to by next week.
I don't have a great grasp of all the logistics of something like this, but I think there's probably a reason the other exchange picked now as the time to begin latecomer sign-ups.
E-card exchange sounds fun, not sure if I'd participate in another gift exchange on top of the /mlp/ one.
>>368779/mlpol/ Secret Sanata, aka /ᛋᛋ/
>>368779I'd be interested, but I haven't been a part of one of these before. Unless you consider those mall secret santas to be the same.
Has pupper been contacted? Card assignments when?
>>368904Pupper says he wouldn't be able to get anything set up on such short notice. As far as collecting personal info, I think we could do it one of two ways. First would be a google form the way /mlp/ does. Unfortunately this means having to log in to google or create a google account if you don't have one, which I imagine some anons might be leery about. Another option is to just have someone collect all the info via email, which might even be a little simpler. I imagine the reason /mlp/ does a google form is due to the large number of people participating, with a smaller group it shouldn't be that hard to keep track of participants. I'd be willing to volunteer to do this if nobody else wants the job.
I'm thinking since it's a bit late in the year to get started planning something like this and this is a trial run, the best thing would be to do an electronic-only contest this year. Either e-cards or maybe gift each other steam games or something.
>>368906What if we tried something like a Matrix room? I don't remember what it takes to get an account, but Matrix in general is focused on privacy. I think it would be a start.
