>>368412That goes to my point about how this is all about your relationship with God. I've had plenty of these philosophical discussions, and basically, at the one extreme, you could say that you can't trust your senses, and that everything might be fake, and all of this stuff, but that's why you have to have faith. I have faith that God is not deceptive, and that reality was not designed to deceive us. I believe things are generally as they appear, even if there's a lot of complexity to it.
I know plenty of people also just don't want certain things to be true, and they try to justify it with logic, instead of wanting to know the truth and trying to find out what it says and obeying it. That's just a rebellion. The truth is the authority, so you should be obedient and learn what it says and follow it. Trying to assert something else is just disobedience. It's an attempt to usurp the true authority. I see that happen a lot. For a lot of people, their primary motivation is not to the truth, so they will sacrifice the truth to the things that they've put as a higher priority.
So, I don't think it's a simulation. I think simulation theory is the wrong way to look at it. Reality is based upon the truth, and the truth is in harmony with itself, and it refers to itself, and it forms all order. I promise this is important, I'm not just rambling. So, our intelligence actually comes from the same patterns that formed the universe, and that the universe run on. We're built with these same patterns, so we're made of the same "code" as the rest of the universe, and we speak the same language, so we're able to interface with reality quite readily. We understand the patterns of the universe because we're made of them. The patterns in our brain form like that. These patterns are very self-referential, and so are the ones that form in our brain. And when they come together, they synthesize new ones, and new understanding, and so on.
Does that mean it's all a simulation, just because we can also use those same patterns to make simulations within reality? No, just because there's logic behind all of it, because everything was made through the fundamental truth, doesn't mean that it's a simulation. Instead, our simulations have to be formed the same way because everything in reality is under the same truth, and that truth forms repeating patterns. It's not the other way around, where because these patterns exist in our simulations, and because we're similar to our simulations that somehow we're in a simulation. Creation didn't make God, God made creation.
