>>366511I watched through it twice. First on my own, then as a livestream event. According to my first watchthrough estimation, it got way better after the painful first few episodes. Then, watching it again, I wondered if my opinion of the first episodes would change, but it didn't, at all. It was still so painful the second time that I considered dropping it, like maybe I was wrong about the later episodes being watchable, but after I got through the first few episodes again, the rest was actually fine. Some of it even actually great. It definitely had its moments. It even alleviated the issue of its short episodes by almost solely making multi-part episodes near the end there. Good decision, IMO. Applejack was actually pretty well-done too. They actually remembered that she's honest. So, despite what it was designed to be, they surprisingly made it work.
