Out of curiosity, is the idea of race differences that shocking to people?

I remember briefly talking to a university professor about learning that the stereotype or Asians being bad drivers relates to a difference in peripheral vision due to eye differences. That was one of the first real non-trivial differences between races, and it linked to real world negative stereotypes that I would have previously chalked up to cultural reasons somehow.

It wasn't until someone eventually brought up race and IQ that I started thinking. I had a little back and forth with someone, during which, real world race and IQ differences were brought up. I said that I thought the difference was more likely due to something like early childhood nutrition, but something about that answer didn't feel quite right so I started digging...

I mean, is it shocking or unknown territory to the people who can find this site? I'm curious about irl surprise as well, but that might be off topic.

Too make sure my blurbs here are related to the core topic: How might you try to share the red pill knowledge with a relatively newly made bluepill friend?
