I tried to sing along with "crescent Moon" but it felt like if you skipped "crescent" if was easier to sing (but this was part where listening to the singing and trying to insert new text was hard).

If I can do it so can you! Here are some tips:
<Have lots of water around to drink (a hot beverage like tea or coffee is even better)
<Practice do re mi fa so la ti do
<Sing along with the demo at first while looking at the lyrics
<Listen to your recordings to hear how your voice needs adjustment
<Listen to the instrumental when recording: if someone else is singing you'll instinctively attach your words to his (making it sound stuttery) and you want to attach your words to the music itself
<Practice one stanza at a time until each one is as perfect as you can make it
<After singing the full-length song compare each stanza to those singular stanza recordings so you can make adjustments
<Practice makes perfect!

Just a reminder that I'm still taking singers for the song until April 1.
Although if no one wants to lend their voices, that's fine too. We've got up to 4 singers and I think that fa bit of audio finagling it should give the feel of a small but hearty legion singing about their delcaration of securing the existence of Ponies and a future for Equestria and her foals.
