I do not hate pagans at all. It just seems to me sort of weird to take up defunct religions and superstitions they have already been previously abandoned. I guess bringing back certain pagan practices and rituals as a form of European cultural Renaissance could be beneficial, but bringing back old religions in their entirety seems like a lost cause.

Paganism is an umbrella term for any kind of practices, among which is the summoning of demons for self-serving and nefarious purposes, that is bad.

You shouldn't call yourself "pagan" since the only thing that signals is that you adhere to a non-christian faith. Whether you worship the Aesir, the Olympians or the Hindu gods you should identify yourself by that instead of your position as a non-christian.
