A little introduction to folks that are new to this.
To sum this up - in this thread we discuss the constant happening that is Syrian Civil War - progress made by each side of the conflict, political agenda beetween competitors, how does the world looks on the conflict, we do memes too, and geolocate ISIS or rebels camps so either russians or americans can bomb them. /sg/ is mostly pro-Assad due to the reason he keeps all the jihadists scum in line and Christians coexisted before the revolution with Muslims peacfully, plus with other religious and ethnic minorities - like Druzes. He is also a nationalist.
Here are some useful links if you want to be up-to-date with the conflict:
If any of you guys wants to know more, just ask , I will try to reply as best as I can. Also , I am hoping that all of the reulars from 4shill will eventually find their way in here.
>>34278 We had a little discussion on /qa/ and upper s came to conclusion it is to be lifted for /sg/. Now get on that video and start pin-pointing characteristical locations!
I'll do some searching, though the area is foreign territory to me so I probably have to do some training of myself to recognize what is suppose to be on the map and what it looks like all that. But I will give it a go.
>>34267 I'm sorry I haven't kept up much with the conflict since the new year. As I recall the government was winning the conflict prior to an attempted peace deal brokered by Turkey and Russia. What is the general trend now?
Also use http://www.suncalc.org/#/34.7324,36.7137,12/2017.06.07/13:21/1/0 to get the position of sun (behind their back so we can pin-point north. >>34294 After SAA took Aleppo back rebels are in dissaray, they tried to launch counter-offensive in april but it failed. Currently SAA (Syrian Arab Army) is taking care of ISIS reions, minding rebels area. The only hot rebel area is south coz US troops are there but SAA advances on the border with Iraq to secure border passage.
>>34282 It all seems to be in the same area surrounded by the building blocks. I don't know if the nearby road with the vehicle parts is directly at the location.
>>34267 One thing right off the bat. We haven't had any cyber raids or other forms of activism in about a month. That, is if you don't count defending nazi and ancap poners at pixelcanvas day after day.
My opinion on activism is that rallies can be done on mlpol.net and organizing on some other platforms like IRC, so we don't get our plans leaked to targets before hand.
I know your activism isn't really cyber but I just wanna know how you see this. I imagine doing /sg/ activism on 4/pol/ made some of you suspicious of some sort of sabotage against your operations.
>>34324 >tfw airstrike happens because of mlpol geolocation >tfw ponies killed real terrorists >tfw Allah will have a very special place in Hell for terrorists getting killed in large part due to ponies on the internet
>>34308 Well, off-platform chat rooms (like discord or IRC) would have to be invite only to even view the stuff so the stray Jihadi couldn't see our plans and leak them to their masters, but that sounds like a solid plan. I would however like other people's opinions on this as well.
>>34309 splitting communities is never good fellow lawgoy ;( i dont like it personally, i get you wanting shill-free space but expiriences with twitter and discord showed that schisms are destructive for community. Couldnt we just make /ssh/ like last few times?

>>34340 I can into edits too but have little clue about what is going on in Syria.
>>34339 Sounds weird. Is it because of Sharia? Its like trying to be anarchic and authoritative regime at once.
>>34346 Whats /ssh/? Guess it kinda makes sense that rebels would monitor 4chan if they can monitor other social media. I mean, who doesn't monitor 4chan nowdays?
>>34354 There are websites that can make temporary links that expire in mere minutes. Could be helpful but I can't find it at the moment. Gotta look for expirable/temporay links, link shorteners.

Opposition forces possibly started like it was in Ukraine, with outside influence. No idea what Syrian democratic are but looks like Syrian loyalisits in their territority are at their last stand. :l
>>34364 > Ha'yat Tahrir Al Sham That is Syrian Al-Qaeda. SDF are kurd force- usa proxy but curenttly on ceasfire with loyalists. Rebels are green - ISIS is black.
>>34359 Wikipedia is always good for getting up to date (if you know little to nothing about Syrian Civil War) as they have the list of battles by order of earliest to most recent (but take what they say with a grain of salt) Here is the (most detailed) war map: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Syrian_and_Iraqi_insurgency_detailed_map >We should include that link in the OPs

I'm glad /sg/ made it here. What was the main reason to leave ? Are there most /sg/ people here or are you a little group of people from this general ? Btw keep up the good work you're the best general on 4chan.
>>34924 >What was the main reason to leave ? Have you seen the state of /sg/ today? It's full of trolls, retards, and genuine shills (it seems like they're trying to agitate some kind of inter-general war b/w /sg/ and /ptg/).
>>34934 /sg/ is fine. it's only close to shit during burger evening hours, when the Thrackerzodkins come in to shitpost. eventually they get redpilled and settle in.
>>34934 Well I guess maybe some of the regulars will come in here. Was trying to bring few souls in here today. They were like "lol no we love our shill-wars" sigh.. so be it. Will resume the search for training area tomorrow.
>>34972 Sad to hear that. I can't fathom why someone would like a "shill war". I hope you stay strong and keep posing here. Once they see what /sg/ on topic can look like they might change their mind.
>>34979 It is funny in a sad way. But those who can't do teach, and those who can't teach try to destroy what those who do create. Glad you found a home here at least.
Bumping with some news regarding rebels infighting - which is hillarious because each faction seems to have a different goals then other insurgents. In this case we have Hayat Tahrir al-Sham - which is Syrian Al-Qaeda as I mentioned before, killing one of the FSA - Free Syrian Army ( the so called "moderate" rebels) top commander. All of this inside the pocket of Idlib, with different part of region being controlled by other groups. (W A S T E D)
>>35004 >Assad adopts a "fuck you I do what I want" foreign policy God I wish the US could do the same, rather than being the enforcement arm of globalist-universalism
But i lost track in the last month… after /mlpol/ and lots of other happening… especially our own domestic politics… there was not much time for /sg/. >>34934 >Have you seen the state of /sg/ today? It's full of trolls, retards, and genuine shills And of course this.
Worth mentioning, SAA captured 37 villages in Raqqa province -the blue area, and is now bordering kurdish SDF. Time will tell how the situation will develop.
>>35069 Polandbro, I understand why you came here but I honestly think this will create a schism of our /sg/ regular userbase. Don't forget where /sg/ started, don't you think that leaving is letting the shills win?
>>35088 >phoneposting from work. Will go back to work after this post. I know and understand why you think leaving 4/pol/ is letting the shills win, but consider the fact that 4/pol/ is pozzed to hell and back. >75-80% of all threads on 4/pol/ are "X BTFO!!!", "Is X eceleb ourguy/girl?", "Is X redpilled?", "Is X degenerate?" "Defend this, /pol/", etc. All with 100-200 replies within an hour. Literally breaking the rules in the sticky, which means the mods don't give a shit. >Furthermore, 4/pol/ is becoming increasingly bluepilled, with threads like "White Islam", "Communists are based", and has semi-common direct links to redd*t and even threads on some BS that happened on redd*t. >4/pol/ is now mostly redd*t 2.0, with the mods actively working to subdue the rest of tru-/pol/ (and succeeding) in order to complete the redd*t takeover.
We at 4/sg/ are pretty much one of the very few good, high quality, redpilled communities left on 4/pol/. Sure we can keep fighting, but we are outnumbered now, and on the internet, less than 100 redpilled anons are far weaker than 1000 bluepilled anons. This happened to Tumblr. This happened to right-wing sites that are now left-wing. >letting the shills win by leaving But anon, they have already won by taking over 80% of the userbase via redd*t flood and by taking over the mods/janitors and the administration. There are very few rational discussions now. Almost every conversation and debate are now based on emotion instead of logic. 4/pol/ has become hopelessly polarized due to endless shilling and most of tru-/pol/ has already left. Even a few /sg/ regulars have abandoned ship because of all this. And it's not just /pol/: It's ALL of 4chan. The war is already over. Stick around on 4/pol/, and mark my words: The bluepills and redd*tards will stage a petition to delete /sg/ or just ban the redpilled /sg/ posters, and the mods will have the excuse they needed to do so.
By now, we at 4/sg/ and a few others on 4/pol/ are just life support for a corpse. It's time to pull the plug, and regroup.
>>35114 I would still not give up so early. The situation over there looks bad but 4/pol/ is still a vital place. There are so many people who can still be redpilled there. I consider /sg/, /nsg/, brit/pol/ and deutsch/pol/ to be the only decent places left. You have to see this from another perspective though. The actions to subvert this place are literally funded by millions of dollars and executed by thousands of employees. They want this place so bad and we should not just hand it over and at least make a war of attriton out of it. Go into ovious shill threads and do the following: >Point out the shill thread >Sage >Post redpill pictures and links >Link to another thread with actual discussion It doesn't take many people to do this properly and we could have an effect with it.
>>35118 >>35069 You know, it wouldn't be out of the picture to base your /sg/ operations here, and still communicate with 4/pol/. That could actually help increase board traffic here.
>>35121 I have no problem with this place but I also don't want to make /sg/ weaker on 4/pol/. Especially because the conflict is now turning into international powerplay.
>>35118 >point out the shill thread >sage >post redpill pictures and links >link to another thread with actual discussion
I've seen this done on 4/pol/. It accomplishes nothing. People continue replying to obvious bait threads, because those obvious bait threads are allowed to stay up. The only way that 4/pol/ can be fixed is via moderation, and the moderators have proven time and time again that they do not care enough to fix these problems.
>>35125 You could use this place to make it stronger, if you work hard enough. I had hoped this place could serve as a /comfy/ board where /sg/oys could concentrate on their operations without being buried under all of that bullshit.
>>35126 I have seen it actually change stuff of course many times it achieves nothing but the shill threads are not worth it if most replies are basically countering them. Why should I give up a place the enemy wants so bad so easily?
>>35131 >Why should I give up a place the enemy wants so bad so easily?
4/pol/ is a constant state of shit. It is a better idea to preserve what you already have and work on further building it here (or anywhere for that matter) that isn't 4chan, because 4chan will only continue to get worse as long as there are people who respond to bait threads. One bump is all it takes to get those threads to the first page. In order for the root of the problem to be solved, 4chan would have to hire competent moderators.
>>35118 >slow work night so another break because I'm taking it easy
True, we could wage a war of attrition and attempt to redpill normies and redd*tors (that are not full bluepill robots), but it's only a matter of time before the mods decide to go full Stalinist and start purging opposition >consider the fact that we don't see "(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)" anymore. They ban the user AND delete the post. The 4chan version of shadowbanning.
If the mods decide to purge our centers of resistance via shadowbanning anons until there are only a handful left, we will need a backup "HQ" to regroup, reorganize, and then counterattack. >inb4 "the mods won't purge /sg/, /nsg/, /britpol/, or /deutschpol/" You underestimate the mods, their greed (esp if the globalists offer them a fortune to do so), and their capabilities, considering shadowbanning draws much less attention. THE DAY OF THE PURGE WILL HAPPEN! And we need a backup HQ when that day comes so we can regroup and reorganize much more quickly.
I propose mlpol.net as the HQ because the mods are from the community and have strong ties to the community, so they are far more resistant to subversion. They will ban shills and useful idiots on the spot. They even have a "kill wall" (ban list). Plus, the horsepussy factor is a major shield against the flood of normies simply because MLP just isn't "their thing". >inb4 but its… MLP. They came from 4/pol/ too. They can have high quality discussions (and do). The horsepussy defense shield is a very powerful defense against the normie/redd*t flood. 4/pol/ had no such defense.
Gonna go to work now, for real. Night boss just got here.
>>35136 >You underestimate the mods, their greed I just said that these generals were decent of course they are in danger of getting purged. I have no problem with mplpol and using it as a backup hq.
>>35139 That's a great picture. How long can you keep it up before it's deleted and banned? >>35138 I don't doubt in the least that there are stll a few good threads on /pol/, like Brit general. Nut how effective are these at red pilling? A person who visits /pol/ is going to first see dozens upon dozens of shill threads and low quality garbage, and will have to wade through that, long before they ever get to the good parts of the small handful of generals that have any quality
And more news from the front. In th besieged city of Deir Ez-Zor SAA under the command of Issam "Druze Beast" Zahreddine regained lost ground around strateically important panorama roundabout. The city itself is besieged since 14 of July 2014. First, by FSA now by ISIS. Wiedly defined as "meatgrinder" because ISIS is losing plenty of fighters and they are making no progress.
>>35126 This. And also you have to realize that most serious posters already left. You are not posting with the pre-election posters on 4chan anymore. Most of them are gone. Either to 8pol, to 8polk, to endchan… or to here. >>35131 >nothing but the shill threads are not worth it if most replies are basically countering them Yeah, and the crying about shills is soo strong, that in every serious thread there are posters shouting shills. the_Donald is seeing shills everywhere. If you are not a blind Trump follower, you are a shill.
Also realize that the 4chan mods hate /pol/. They kind of tolerated /pol/ before the election, because they thought that /pol/ will have some epic brake-down when Trump loses. And before that time, there was /pol/ harbour.
>>35382 > USA is holding border crossing and spergs out about every single advantage of the SAA in this direction… even bombarding them. > SAA just takes the area 10km to the north-east of it B T F O T F O
Try screencapping most vital places from video, try to pin-point the direction of the sun, hence the north, draw a plan of terrain in paint or elswhere and report ur findings. Good luck, gentlemares!
>>35426 Right good thing you asked. Red is unimportant sector - mostly barren land or fields. Not important in searching. Tho try to double check those in close vicinity of any urban area.
>>35520 We are with Assad - the only one that guarantees secularism to be actual thing in Syria and other religions to coexist peacfully. Syrian Army is regaining more and more ground with the help of Russia from ISIS and rebels. The kurds are the problem - US proxies that seeks to destabilize Syria in favor of Israel and Saudi Arabia. Today syrain us-backed rebels were blocked from advancing further north so the project of pipeline proposed by Qatar - that shifted back to pro-syrian side, more-or-less, can be arranged through Syria with profits for saudis and other states that wants Shia fullmoon - the coalition of Lebanon , Syria Iraq and Iran to cease.
>>35553 Yes, now that he established connection with Iraq, part of shia's milita - PMU - People Mobilization Unit, experts in ISIS removal can fight alongside Syrian Army.
Hey, as a guy who hasn't really participated in /sg/ that much lately, I ask: do the rest of you see any foreseeable end to this shitty civil war? Last time I checked, Assad had the upper hand. Could the end be in sight?
>>35619 It depends, if US will back down and withdraw plus Turkey won't pull some weird shit it is still circa 2 years to end due to kurd problem, rebels are done, thanks to perma infighting and encirclement.
>>35660 >US will back down Gosh, I hope so. I'm sick of our government sticking its nose into that region, against our own interests. >Turkey won't pull some weird What do you think they could plausibly do any why?
>>36003 WEll they support a splinter of FSA - Erdogan does that only for Syria's destabilization. However he might be helpful in "final kurdish solution".
>>35553 There is no chance how anybody else could win. The kurds can't rule over whole Syria and the moderate head choppers would just implode. Assad is the only option.
>>36167 The Kurds are well supported by foreign nations and have a lot of territory under their control. Are you sure they couldn't remain as a separate, if vassal, state indefinitely?
>>36169 >Are you sure they couldn't remain as a separate, if vassal, state indefinitely? This issue has been brought to the table many times in many different places. It would certainly piss-off Turkey though.
>>36171 That is very true. That's probably the biggest reason it wouldn't happen. But I can't imagine the western powers would be okay with Kurdish lands coming back under the control of Assad's regime
>>36172 The U.S. has certainly given them quite a bit of weapons and resources to fight ISIS. I wouldn't even be surprised if the issue were brought up again to "reward" the Kurdish militants for their endeavors; in fact, I believe that some of the Kurds actually expect that.

>>36742 >It doesnt count as murder when its commited during war time, right? Nah…! >Can /mlpol/ live with blood on it's hands? We would hardly count as an image board without blood on our hands, m8.
>>36744 >>36742 Lel, I'd be proud. To my knowledge guys training there are ISIS. They only fight for their own gain. Their "state" have no real citizens all of their people are armed savages.
>>36746 Actually no. The guys that train there are splinter of FSA - "Free" Syrian Army - akak the moderate headchoppers. Don't remember exact name of the sub-group in the video but after checking their flag I can say they are in close with HTS - hayat Tahrir al-Sham which is a syrian splinter of Al-Qaeda, which, funny thing, is on bad terms with ISIS. For example in one of the urban area of Damascus they fight each-other on a very tight urban area - Yamrouk camp.
>>36750 To a certain extent.. ISIS originates from the officer core of Saddam's army that got radicalized and traces it's origins to around 2005. Altough not under such name, most of it's members were in the resistance movement that formed after US invasion.
Someone should edit that pic so that Syria's stars are in front of the glasses. It always bothered me about Syria balls that the stars were covered by the glasses. Nice memeball, btw.
