Ok, I have gone through the article provided and I have deciphered some critical information. These are two separate shows apparently, comprising of Tell Your Tale, the CalArts nightmare fuel, and Make Your Mark, which is a special that will come out in the middle of the year that will be what G5 is promising as 3D graphics that are somewhat like the movie and will be what the show is.

I hate to defend this trash, but this is just another pony life zoomer bait so they can have a tiny bit of cash flow while no actual pony show is airing. Also, the article claims they have 500 minutes of total content revealed so far, and with the article mentioning only Make Your Mark and a Winter Special in November, we are looking at around 80 episodes of CalArt ponies if they do last 5 minutes each. This means if they keep releasing one a week, this thing will last not only well before G5, but likely after the first season as well. The only thing that could be throwing the numbers off is if they somehow included the expected G5 runtimes in this number, which was not mentioned in the article.

As for the contents of G5, this is just another tactical move by Hasbro to release a shit pony life sequel that no one asked for, which will make the actual product look good, and make profit on both as infants will play with anything and parents will by the ugly designs and think it’s cute regardless. However, we can only make an informed speculation about the quality of G5 when we get to see this special at the end of May.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to purge my mind of both having to defend G5 in any capacity and the thought that pony life was both successful enough to duplicate not a year later and made to be even more ugly.

Seasons 8 and 9 were a taste of things to come. Anything spawning from the cespit of Netflix is bound to be 150% woke. pony life should have been that quick G4.5 cash grab, now we have a tv and movie series planed for the future, and that future sucks. I don’t think quality content is going to be made for about 8 years considering generations change with the decade. And even if they change early, 90% of the team (at best) don’t care about the product. At best I would hope for something so hilariously woke, that it becomes a comedy of garbage. The new movie should be a good example of that. Remove the past as much as possible, the mane 6 being little more than nostalgia pins. Pick a woke narrative, racism. Disregard and ruin whatever canon existed before to force your narrative on a 75iq audience, windegos, princess twilight, the magic of friendship, etc. Expect more of this.
The good news is. Most people never really watched the show anyway

It depend how much Hasbro wants to actually profit from it, tbh. They don't gain anything from inserting on-the-nose political rhetoric, athough they will lose watchers. If hasbro cares about preserving its cash-cow, they'll at least assign guidelines for what the writers are allowed to cram in.

I think you mean this is G5 in a broader sense than I did. I mean specifically this isn’t the series that has been rumored to be in the works, which apparently the info that was leaked about it was jumbled like how people are understanding these two series. From the leaks we heard about G5, it was supposed to be 2D and building off of the movie, however, as long as this article is correct with the new information, there are two new series coming out. The first is the 2D horror show that can really only be called G5.5, and awkwardly at that because of the air order.

But for a more broad sense, yes. This is the legacy of G5 before it has even gotten properly started. It is also cause for concern that G4.5 was either so well received by children or so cheap to produce that they approved nearly immediately more to be done in the G5 cast. The image G5 will leave is that of low quality and profit motivations that can’t even be hidden behind lore excuses.

As for messaging, I doubt they will have the time in the CalArts show to say much of anything other than very simply messages about not making others cry or be kind to everyone.

Make your mark implies some sort of Disney tier stand up to bullying and save the planet by planting a shrub. They have 45 minutes to work with, so it is possible. However, I think it is more likely going to try and satisfy basic questions the movie didn’t bother to answer and how earth ponies fit in with magic like they left as a sort of cliff hanger on the end of the movie. They will probably ask what magic earth ponies had that was lost since it isn’t apparent to the new view that didn’t collect that info from G4. They will spend the first act questioning what it means to have magic, probably explore the unicorn magic more since it was only just used in the minimum at the end of the movie, another look at Pegasi learning to fly, and wondering how Sunny ties into this as an artificial alicorn. Second act probably has some kind of struggle like the movie where they don’t know how to make use of the magic and the other Magic’s seem much more useful and powerful, so tensions build up again. Third act will probably be rushed to rebuild friendships, Sunny unleashes the alicorn power again and unlocks something connected to G4, realizes that earth ponies have a secret power that wasn’t ever established, and now everyone is friends again. Bonus scene possible where we learn that someone is trying to reach the new cast and claim Twilight or some relic of hers is still alive or available. It will probably turn out to be the new Spike that is in the toys and not actually Twilight.

The holiday special is a wild card because it is in November of all times, and to keep both global appeal and reduce the corporate wait time from Candy/costume eve to purchase month, they will skip any values about being thankful for what has been given to you. They will instead jump into a generic, Christmas free, Hearths Warming, except no Hearths and no Warming. They will reveal there was no more need for the tradition because the windigo were defeated without mentioning any specifics on how or why. They will simply recall from the history class that also talked about a pony race war that will also not be clarified. They will learn about giving items to others in a way that makes them feel special while also learning about new spike’s traditions and opening up horizons to the other races they will either bring back or make new ones to introduce. In the end, a new tradition is made where no actual tradition is made, simply coexisting in silence with others and respecting their own cultures will be the celebration.

Just my guesses at those two. I am probably way off, but I just don’t see any connections they could make to what has been given so far. I am likely overthinking connections though and they will act from special to special like the previous content never occurred save any additions to cast. That will mean it can be just an adventure special each time where they journey into a new land and meet x race and solve what it means to be friends with them or something. Maybe they keep the budget low though and don’t go anywhere at all. They just stay in the bay and only really talk and explore a couple of buildings they want to reuse later like how the library or sugarcane corner was a staple for episodic setting in G4.

That sounds like an amazing and intelligent idea. I guarantee it’ll never happen. In order to revisit a location, it would first have to be interesting. These writers will never write anything interesting. I only expect the absolute worst writing I have ever seen in my life, and I still think I will be disappointed. I expect we will be supprised by the product, but not satisfied.

I’m not meaning to claim it is going to be a good one, just simply not as low quality art as what is presented. I don’t really see how they can make it ever on par as G4, especially with how limited of a word they have made for themselves by atomizing the pony population to three major settlements and basically made any history to no effect.

But I will think it will be received well enough by people like the movie was. Despite how much I could rant about the movie in terms of lore and lack of any answers to how the world works, it was an inoffensive movie to most viewers and people gave it a better score than the G4 movie, thus there is no chance we are going back to such times. The people have it a pass then and now we have to live with the ultimate conclusion.

Complete disinterest from start to finish with zoomerbean millenial crap. I felt like I was seeing a dragged out steven jewniverse episode in 3d, the pacing, the cheap shitty expression cuts like a nickelodean or cartoon network show or a ponylife movie without ponies. Calarts still remains a universal sign that the product will almost always be shit, the kind of person that puts out beanmouths has no standards of style so everything else is dragged down with it.
