>>331607I always imagined Octavia as a professional musician, but her being a mathematician is definitely something to think about.
Equestria is an enlightened society, and thus, Prohibitionist. So yes, Celestia would ban the production of Moonshine and all other such intoxicants. I think Luna would, at least after her return (maybe not before her bannishment) come o understand that this is for the better.
Are there even any Earth Pony members of the Royal Guard? I think the Royal Guard think that Pegasi and Unicorns are more effective, or else they think that inclusion of Earth Ponies will lead to the oppressed Earth Pony masses rising up, or something.
>>331607Kirins are chinks(no shit Sherlock), they used to be ponies of the East like pic related, but they were eventually conquered by dragons just like IRL mongols conquered China.
Mistmane's ponies are of course Japanese, whom for certain reasons, including hurricanes, were never actually conquered by the mongols, remaining relatively pure, and with the advance of magic (or IQ in our realm), eventually left the mongols way behind them.
>>331608An Earth Pony guard can throw themselves or a shield in the way of danger but Pegasi guards can shove you out of danger faster or take down enemies faster while Unicorn guards can do magic.
Headcanon: Unicorn royal guards are drilled in cooperative magic spells. Like the group of earthbenders from the M. Night Avatar movie.
>>331615>Like the group of earthbenders from the M. Night Avatar movie....and how many unicorn guards does it take to move a fist size stone?
watch the Avatar carton series(not korra though), in there several earth benders manage anti-tank actions.
>>331615Don’t forget that Earth ponies are stars of the track and could easily do the same thing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKg31CCykR0&t=3m13s >>331669Oh yeah good point.
maybe they want the races grouped closer together so they can work together on rehearsed formations?
>>331658I know the M Night earthbenders are weak but that was the first thing that came to mind when I thought "spellcasters working together". They'd probably have way more power than the average pony. And working together makes them stronger.
extra headcanon: During the Apple Family Reunion we see a mare play a string instrument who looks just like an Octavia recolour. Octavia is an Apple hiding her identity via dyes.
>>331609It could also be that Mistmane comes from a time before the dragons arrived.
>>331691Could be it, but i think they did visited the place in one episode and they weren't Kirins
It's a shame poners missed this post
>>331610, it's the best most fitting headcanon out there, it tracends well beyond the show and into reality itself
Started writing my headcannon and it turned into a story so here it is. I never wrote anything before so sorry if it's bad formatting.
>What I'm about to tell you is a tragic tale of finding love beyond one's comprehension. Love, which stood the test of judgment but did not stand the test of time.
>Doctor Whooves has long been searching for his true love under a pretext of finding a female assistant. Thanks to his numerous contributions to this world it was easy to find volunteers wanting to work with the infamous scientist. Unfortunately time after time again his love was neglected as mares felt too stupid of themselves, or simply uncomfortable with his antics, one of which was especially annoying.
>Whenever a love-struck scientist felt awkward talking, he used science to back him up. That was a reoccurring problem as he tend to gravitate toward a subject only a genius like him knows so that no one would ever outthink a genius.
>This often resulted in a stream of ideas being poured non-stop over poor unprepared heads. No pony in the right mind could stand it, as you might have guessed.
>Sure, working with a brilliant mind is a gift like no other, but hearing the laws of thermodynamics at the dinner table, let alone ever in bedroom, was just a bit too much for an average pony with a physics degree.
>But no matter how tragic, the passionate scientist never gave up on his romantic endeavors. He is not the one to go with the motions. He makes the motions work for himself. And let Celestia be the witness, he will succeed where others have failed. For he is the great mind that ever lived.
>And there she was…
>She sat there in the corner wrapped around a straitjacket. She was perhaps looking a bit senile going around hitting walls with her head, but at the same time she was pretty. It is often that beauty outweighs the most ravaging parts of our character, the most deceptive vile characterization of one's significance.
>Beauty...
>So it was decided. Illegally, Dr. Whooves bribed the asylum workers to relocate her to his mansion for a purpose of conducting a research. Something about helping mentally ill, what have you? But in reality all the doctor wanted was a mare. A mare who may not understand what he says but at very least won't judge him.
>After all, how could she? The pony cannot even look straight.
>She could not understand his sarcastic tongue, nor that is he is prone to ridicule. All she saw was half of a stallion in the distance. But sooner or later that half grew much attached to her. It fed her, washed her.
>It was a question of time before she found her half attached too.
>Days passed by, being followed by months. The two became almost inseparable. There were times she found herself tied to a chair as a crowd watched her sit, occasionally turning their glances to her keeper. Then back to her. Then back to her keeper, nodding. She could not understand it, nor that she needed to. Sometimes nice things happen without you even acknowledging them.
>It feels very good sometimes.
>Very tingly.
>Doctor Whooves became much different ever since his new research was put into motion. Although his changes in demeanor were noticeable more to himself than to anyone in particular, he smiled. Now that he was no longer alone in this world, he was finally happy.
to be continued.
