I think we could use a thread for general merch acquisition. Official merch. Unofficial merch could make sense here, I just feel a bit awkward about it since I made that whole thread about the Nationalist pony book.

I'm making this thread to check out the Celestia figure from the Guardians of Harmony line. They actually look really good. I have the Nightmare Moon one and the Discord one. I'm looking to get the Celestia one.

I actually bought this around 2 years ago, when the price was around $17 or so. You can see from the charts that the price fluctuates. The thing is, I never got the notification that my local post office had the package, so when I went in to check, they had just sent the package back to amazon an hour or two before I got there. When I popped back to the website, the price had shot back up to $35, double what I'd paid for it. I was perfectly willing to wait another 6 months to a year, because it's basically a decoration rather than something that will substantially impact my day to day life. Amazon running out of stock was not something I expected.

I set up a price alert on a site called CamelCamelCamel.com, which checks price history on amazon items. From what I can tell here, amazon.ca ran out of stock on these back around early to mid-November. I was expecting the price to drop below $20 again, at which point I'd buy it and get free shipping because I have Amazon Prime. I never thought that Amazon would run out of stock on this.

From what I can tell, the figure is still available on the US site, but I'd have to pay what looks to be about $53 CAD (including shipping).

Does anyone know of any other online store where I could get this figure for a reasonable price? Does anyone think I should really bite the bullet and spend over fifty dollars to get this shipped in from the states? I got the NMM and Discord figures for around $20 or so, so I was going to wait for this one. I don't want to lose my chance entirely.
