Some dumbass went into the EaW discord a couple months back to bitch about some of the story events not going how he wanted them to go and eventually got kicked out of the discord. Ever since then he's been trying to start a war over it. Today's attempt was even dumber than normal.

I came to eaw yesterday, then came back today with the compilation posts, it was fucking disgusting, and then they mass flagged the posts and managed to get them deleted, so I reposted them and a jannie spent an hour micromanaging the thread, not one of the furries was banned and we all got banned

the green ID guy is probably the dev who comes to 4chan to mess with people, he speaks in the same very weird manner

anyways the best course of action is probably to let this thread sit for a while, wait for the two shills to leave, and for a bunch of true mlpol anons to see it and start brainstorming as well

Do you realize that none of these except the first one have anything to do with the discord guy? You do realize that all of these are done by different people right? Statistically when any politically-neutral project on the internet involves dozens of people a few will be a commies, and that can be prevented only by having an explicitly right-wing project or by screening people more than any volunteer group has any right to do. The dev who sperged out on /mlp/ got fired apparently. The writing in EaW doesn't suggest a Wolfenstein-tier anti-right tirade, but "hurr-durr let's DMCA the best HOI4 mod and one of the biggest MLP projects because of some random autist." Not your personal army.

Equestria At War Realism Mod when?

As much as I hate the direction of how EAW has been going, trying to destroy something pony related is pretty stupid. I have been following the game since it was just the one continent. It was pretty impressive how all sorts of different things could happen on each play through. I don’t have the time to rant about it now, but direction and ideology aside, it is a pony project. I want to see more projects like it, not less.

Better idea: rather than try to "fix" things we can make a version of the mod for a different game, specifically Darkest Hour. Kaiserreich is an example of an active mod that exists on both HOI4 and Darkest Hour and Equestria at War could be the same way. Darkest Hour has advantages over HOI4, including a longer timeframe (1914 for WW1 all the way to the 1970's in the base game and some mods extend it to the 2000's), more ideologies than the 4 in HOI4, incremental change via sliders (can be accelerated by events), and replacing political advisors with a cabinet that has a range of views. Graphics are comparatively lacking but there are lot more illustrations and icons, which exist for every technology and every unit at each tech level (for different countries, even), has its own little icon, and this is the strength of EaW. It's an older game with its own dedicated following and so you're less likely to wind up with faggots. A lot of stuff will have to be reworked but while the main structure of EaW can be maintained it can have its own unique spin, just like Kaiserreich.
