>>274254He says things that are not disagreeable. The small steps to being a productive member of society. Enough disagreement to attract those misaligned and weary of what society has done. It's enough of a positive change that it works. A background that would make some be sympathetic. Enough experience in the world to be trust worthy.
For many that's enough. Just enough improvement, just enough truth, just enough motivation.
But seeking the truth, and making things better politely and quietly demands more.
Jordan Peterson has done what he could, from his perspective. He could have done so much more, but then again I'm not in his shoes.
Eventually those people will take the basics to heart, and expand their perceptions and scope.
Hopefully...To see that the cave is merely a flab of a gigantic monster.
That the dragons they fight have a brood mother.
Trying to fight it ill prepared and alone can end poorly. Yet that monster has the treasure, an army of dragons, and those foolish enough to attempt to become dragons themselves.
The small dragons will snip at you, and if it happens at the wrong time they will all descend.
He is a good first step to ascend. He has tools and teachings that are useful.
Yet staying in that step (less than degeneracy and the place before) not moving to the next will slowly eat away at your soul.
The problem is time and numbers. Not enough are prepared to move to the steps that is required of them. There isn't enough time.
Trying to skip very personalized steps can end with terrible consequences.
Moving people to the next step quickly, and correctly is hard. There just isn't enough of anything. So everything has to be a lesson in hopes that those ready for that will awaken.
A rabbit hole that will take them to their best possible selves.
>>274258I don't hate the guy, with the cards he's been delt he made a good showing. He improved alot of people's lives and brought them one more step closer to them manifesting their best self.
Some people are caught in the trap that only experts can help them.
Some aren't flexible or ready enough to experience the world and the various minutia.
He lays out a grand plan a step by step guide on how to make a guide. To advance foward.
It does work.
First the self, the moving space, the local area, the greater area, the broader area, on and on.
He emphasizes not being a completely shitty person because that can be readily done. It's what a vast majority need.
Find a problem, and fix it.
He says to find the root of the problem so that it is truly fixed.
It annoys some that he glosses over the JQ. He has the data, and world view that make acknowledging it terribly painful it would break something.
He has seen the ugly underside of the world, the various dragons.
He understands that there are biological differences.
There are so many reasons why things are the way they are that dismissing some as merely miscreants barking for attention.
The incident with MGTOW comes to mind. Eventually he grasped the situation, but not quite fully engaging all of it.
Perhaps one day he'll be there side by side as the straw breaks the camel's back. He certainly knows his stuff...
Maybe then he'll be prepared as well.
Taking something to its logical and illogical extent helps.
He emphasizes the individual it is what he works with.
It is the most singular element of groups.
So an individual highly specialized needs others to support that person as the specialist supports the others.
A group has formed stronger than apart, and can do more than a community order.
Those specialized in that group ought to have complete faith in each other. Looking for traitors and backstabbers takes away from what is trying to be accomplished.
It keeps on expanding. All the way to nations and countries. Every small hurdle removed is another increase toward productivity, happiness, fulfillment, contentment, and improvement.
>>274263I'm not that well versed in the Bible. I did think it was an interesting take, having more perspectives would have been interesting and maybe more helpful. He could have done something else. If he wanted something meant have at least a modicum of familiarity about to make the things he's saying stick.
That's my take on it.
