Hey mlpol, and welcome in the multichan.
I think you're the second most active political alt chans after leftypol right now.

Actually testing everything works well.

If you have others alt chans or recommendations you'd like to see added on the multichan please let me know.

https://multichan.org

>What is the multichan
The Multi Chan is a simple directory using iframe to embed other websites with a pure css menu.
The goal is to put all the actives boards splitted on multiples Imageboards at the same place. Similar to allchans but more minimalistic. It aims at keeping alt chans somehow decentralized as it is now but without having dozens of /b/ or /pol/ on multiples places.

Initial tests indicate that hashed IDs are maintained through both sites. This suggests that user IP addresses may be visible to the site. Additionally, the site may be able to log post-deletion passwords, as they remain consistent in and out of the site.

Mods can see post history from IPs. Mods will call out shills if they see them. The mods on /mlpol/ are absolutely /ourguys/.

False, mods can't see IPs. Mlpol encrypts IPs into a unique ID, from which post history and activity is logged. IPs are safe even from staff, and yes user safety and security are top priority. Further testing will be conducted to verify that multichan is safe, and findings will be posted.

I'm not a codeponer but multichan sounds like a man in the middle. Is any possibility to inject code into /mlpol/ traffic?

TLDR: It is if you use their site, but that's their shitck.

As an iframe it won't effect stuff here, just on the user that uses that service (multichan).
On their end if multichan wants some data inserted it is possible, but as the options here are limited to normal activities really trying to break /MLPOL/ on their end is the same for an end user. Alot of effort for not alot of effect. (Except maybe as an IP mask, but then there are better ways to do that)
Once the server gets the info from /mlpol/ (like what you are seeing right now on your browser) they can then manipulate it however they want. Stuff in the iframe is kinda self-contained.
Iframes are more secure, but I've done some fairly janky shit trying to make a weird website.
Like all servers if you trust them you just need to be carful.
Not only that blocking iframes is really easy for sotes that don't want it. By passing that kind of restriction is a pain in the ass kinda.

Technically this could all be done in HTML5, CSS, and Javascript for a fully front end application.

This post is from multichan from the same user from a different location. A lot of the nice functionality of /MLPOL/ is lost due to being inside an iframe, but as a simple repository for multiple chans.
No reply popup, no options, no settings, no drag and drop file upload, no side bar options ect.
Makes it very bare bones, while it is fuctional and serves it's purpose as an limited overboard for various chans.
As OP said for a simple repository it does exactly that.

For /MLPOL/ it's just another vector for users to be exposed, but is pale reflection of the site when used as is (that's fine). Removing functionality so users have to use https://mlpol.net would be fairly easy (if time consuming) on the admin side.
Directly using /MLPOL/ is better than the multichan iframe (that's the nature of iframes), but for what it is it does exactly what multichan sets out to do.

Since I don't actualy know multichan and the people working on it I think I'll just stick to /MLPOL/ and seeing the websites on a case by case basis.

So for the gitgud repo to save on bytes would be javascript to switch iframe sources, or a url reader...

I use mostly the iframe function to browse chans easily on mobile.
On a normal desktop you can just exit the iframe to go on the plain site by opening one of the link in the iframe in an other tab (ctrl + click, right click, open a new tab - 3rd mousse button click).
The Tor version only link others IBs without iframe.

I made the MultiChan for differents case scenarios, simple browsing on mobile with little concerns for privacy or paranoid tin foilers in the safest mode on Tor.
The website if perfectly usable without javascript, except for bypassing the websites blocking iframe and some favicon shit on firefox.

Yeah iframe can breaks a lot of stuffs depending on browsers, I should add a buttons for peoples to easily exit the iframe and go directly on the origin website.
