>>256509It's mind blowing.
The fuckers in charge don't ban travelers from China which would be the logic answer to a biological threat.
Instead they risk American lives for the sake of business.
>>256509>>256520Who will succeed the most?
Coronachan?
Ebolachan?
dead last Winterchan?
Or a new contender?
>>256520Are you talking about travelers from China in general or regards to this virus? Haha.
Anyway, this new virus hasn't yet proven itself to be enough of a threat to warrant shutting everything down. The world is swarming with countless diseases whose transmission are aided by travel. Until such a time that the outbreak proves truly disastrous, shutting down travel does more harm than good.
Granted extreme measures might cut off the next HIV before it can spread out of control, but more likely the disease could be a nothingburger in the end.
This virus is interesting because it's new and coming out of the cesspit that is China, but I'm not that concerned. If anything I expect fears to be overhyped to distract from the Dem's impeachment plans falling apart.
>>256540>Haha>this new virus hasn't yet proven itself to be enough of a threat to warrant shutting everything downFacts on the ground are showing dead people.
>Until such a time that the outbreak proves truly disastrousHow many Americans have to die to ban virus carriers?
>shutting down travel does more harm than goodHarm to who? Perhaps the (((oligarchs))) wanting to keep travel and commerce going?
>but more likely the disease could be a nothingburger in the endIf so, then protecting Americans lives has the upmost priority. Don't you think?
>>256542Facts are people have died from virtually every virus in the book. Who are these fatalities? What was their medical history? What treatment did they recieve? Was it some infirm old fart who is too good to practice basic personal hygiene? Was he treated with the ancient practice of snorting powdered rhinoceros horn? The west knows very little about this disease. It hasn't been studied enough for China to know much more, and their word is suspect anyway. The Party might do anything from underplay the severity of the disease to save face, or overplay its severity to take shots at Trump by fucking with the markets in an election year.
We simply don't know enough about this disease yet, and you can't just quarantine entire countries on what-ifs about the virus of the week.
>>256549>We simply don't know enough about this disease yetExactly. Caution and preemptive measures are needed.
>and you can't just quarantine entire countries on what-ifs about the virus of the week.Everything is possible with the right man at the helm.

>>256509May Corona-chan teach the world not to fuck with bioweapons the hard way, and to teach the nations of the world the importance of borders.
>>256530LET IT SNOW
>>258332I severely hope this is true, I don't need to worry about dying in a plague when I could give my life in the boogaloo instead
