Psychedelic drugs such as psilocybin, DMT, and mescaline have been used by various cultures throughout human history. Today they are criminalized because they are commonly used for recreational purposes. While it is true that you could hurt someone under the influence of these drugs (if you were say operating heavy machinery or driving). It is unlikely the the drugs themselves will harm the user. Most psychedelics are not addictive and nearly impossible to overdose on. I believe by criminalizing them we are throwing the baby out with the bath water. These drugs may be of value for people experiencing PTSD or depression and they have less side effects than SSRIs. These drugs may also have value for those seeking spiritual experiences under controlled settings of course. What do you think /mlpol/? I have had several realizations on psychedelic drugs (mushrooms/lsd). Most of them minor, like how natural sun worship is, or how to drink beer without looking like a bitch. Nothing important. BUT, there was one true life changer, and that is that God must exist. Call me a christkike if you will, but it's better than being an atheist like I was. Also was able to get off of SSRIs with them.
However, it must also be stated that stupid shit, like the idea that humans are all fundamentally one group of people that can live in harmony if we all did drugs together, etc. come with it. They cause you to project your good intentions onto everyone; which causes you to overlook the evils certain groups exhibit.
