Can anyone help a faggot out? I am not current with the show, but I was under the impression that the most recent episode was the mid-season finale, and that there is another half a season to go. Is that correct or is the show just done already?

There's going to be 26 episodes of Season 9 as far as I know, the next one is episode 13 which broadcasts tomorrow morning. We have a thread on it here https://mlpol.net/mlpol/res/226365.html. I'm not sure when it picks up again but I assume they're just doing the usual business where they air half the season, take a break, then broadcast the remaining episodes. One way or the other though there is definitely at least 12 or 13 more episodes to go after this one.
If you want to catch up on what you missed, this board does a weekly stream of the show where we watch about six episodes and then show the 2017 movie. We do it every Friday starting at 5 pm Pacific time. Unfortunately we're almost done with what exists of Season 9 at the moment, but we just start at the beginning and rewatch the early episodes when we run out of new ones.
I'll also warn you that the general consensus is that S8 and S9 have overall been pretty sub-par, a lot of people don't care for the directions the show has taken. I basically agree, but imo there are some buried gems that still redeem it.
