They're leftists. You have to expect them to be naïve at this point. That being said, there are certainly good reasons to do our part to avoid pollution and climate destruction on a local or national scale. But on a global scale we simply aren't a large enough contributor to do anything significant.

I would like to make a third point. The sunken cost fallacy. They get hooked by hijacking ideals, 'You can save the rain forest by keeping your lights off! Make sure to plant trees. You'll be a hero!' (Despite other plants being far better at using co2 and excreting oxygen.)
They got hooked on an idea that they could have a real and tangible impact on the world, but they can't do it alone. The reward, and the reason why what they do isn't working.
So they make allot of changes to themselves and those around them. They gave up many things that made things more enjoyable (some actually came up with alternative ideas). They get to feel like a hero, like they matter, but it isn't enough.
They have to get rid of all the things (((they))) don't want goyim to have. No lights, no steak, no motorcars, not a single luxury.

Global warming or "climate change" or whatever they're calling it these days is probably bullshit, but if it were real I'd honestly be rooting for it and arguing that we should try to contribute to it as much as possible. Any cataclysm significant enough to cause large swaths of the human population to start dying off en masse would be almost guaranteed to affect the third world first. Aside from those populations needing to be culled anyway, the pandemonium would probably cause a massive shift in global politics and push the "refugee crisis" to the point that normies couldn't afford to live in a bubble anymore.

Global warming is not the apocalyptic scenario that people freak out about, but we shouldn't just go out of our way to kill ourselves like the Chinese just because it might cull the third world before us. Ecological acceleration is a horrible idea. Cultural/ethnic acceleration can at least be justified more effectively than ecologic.

Could someone elaborate more on this? Do you mean because the ecological damage can't be undone after the final victory? I feel like ethno-cultural acceleration would be equally disastrous but I admit I am not an accerationist and haven't given it much thought tbh

Well the damage to the earth caused by purposely polluting would be much harder to reverse after redpilling the masses on it. Not necessarily impossible but it would take a worldwide effort with the iron fist of Adolf himself. Racial/ethnic damage is similarly dangerous territory but at least sparking a racewar means fighting dindus and retarded cousin-fuckers. It wouldn't be hard to overpower people 10-to-1 as Europeans are generally much stronger in tactics and technology, but ecological damage isn't something you can just fight your way to victory with.
