In a short follow-up video, Facebook confirms the 'DeBoosting' practice and mechanism, but decries the whistleblowing of the issue as a 'stunt'
https://youtu.be/RoOrr_W2fC4As detailed as Veritas is in their little exposés, I'm not really sure what they think this is going to accomplish.
Facebook has been violating user privacy and censoring every mildly edgy schmuck under the sun for a little over a decade now. I can't even count the amount of lawsuits against them for such violations, and Veritas is rather late to the 'censoring muh conservatives' party.
Even if the video's contents winds up being used in some kind of lawsuit and/or a push for strict regulations, I highly doubt the ad firms, let alone the world's intelligence agencies, are just going to let one of their biggest treasure troves of data go unmolested like that.
The only winning move here, once again, is not to play.
