Thank you anons. I can feel your strength flowing through me. I have finished the first script of many tonight. All of the cosmos are aligned with my will to see this show prosper once more.
My only issue is getting my foot in the door. I am a relative nobody, and my name doesn't carry much authority in the writing/entertainment industry. Not sure who to contact, and I know Hasbro doesn't take unsolicited submissions, so I need to talk to someone before showing them all of the work I've done.

I am too cynical to believe that you will succeed in this endeavor but I do wish you good luck. I don't want to go in on what all the reasons I feel so right now but basically my reasoning is like this: Even if you are the next Shakespear, I think Hasbro neither care to appeal to adults nor do they understand that their show is bad or they can't pinpoint why it is bad.

I would rather recommend that you poured your energy into making a novel or proposed a prompt for some original tv-series or cartoon similar to how Laura Faust created mlp.

Either way, I am interested in what your idea for s1 of G5 of mlp would be. Would you care to elaborate? For example, are you going to have a new cast of characters or are you going to keep the mane six? You said that you wanted the show to prosper again. How will you go about doing that? Will you keep in the elements that made the show connect with an older audience or are going to have new different elements that appeal to them? What according to you did elements? This is not some kind of interrogation. I'm just curious about what you think. A short answer will suffice. How much do you deviate from the original series do you think?

Sadly one of the only ways you can get into the modern western animation industry is if you've slept around with one of the show runners for that company or you are some big profile account on Tumblr. Here's a video that explains that more in detail.

But still if your initial plan doesn't work out you can always do what >>197032 says and work on scripts for your own show. If we had all sorts of shows to watch we can just make our own media industry online (Think like one website that hosts episodes of Murdoch Murdoch and more)

It's unlikely that they would even so much as listen to what I have to say, but I think my ideas and content I've produced will be an effective tool, if I can get someone to look at them. The reason I wanted to work with this franchise is because it is one I love, that has been a part of my life for many years now. I have felt a calling, a dramatic change in the experience of reality, and have been drawn to putting my creative skills and penchant for storytelling to use.

kind of stuff and make my own series. I have several ideas, and I'm also working on writing a separate novel.
Anyway, I don't want to answer too many of your questions without the risk of spoiling all of the story I've written. Thematically, it is less modern than G4, and the story revolves around Love as a concept, instead of friendship. I have proposed a few new main characters, as people have too many emotional attachments and expectations put onto the mane 6 characters, so I think it would be foolish to reuse them, as it will lead to immediate criticism out the door, regardless of how much or how little they change them. However, I want characters we have come to know and love to make cameos, and maybe even occasionally play a role in the plot of individual episodes.
