I would not think so. If you're in intelligence you will have a different view on things than other and it could be a positive aspect. I would also think it is better to be upfront because you will be working in a field where trust is alpha and omega. But I honestly don't think they will care if you tell or not, it is not like you have been participating in unpatriotic acts. But if they ask do tell.
