Terrorism is a real threat, but, the statement that most of the terrorists in the world are Muslims is definitely biased, prejudiced and exaggerated.
If all Muslims are terrorists because a single digit percentage of terrorists happen to be Muslim, then all Muslims must be peacemakers because 5/12 Nobel Peace Prize winners (42%) have been Muslim.
The international numbers:
FBI reports show that only a marginal percentage of terrorist attacks carried out (10%~?) between 1980 and 2005 on U.S soil involved a Muslim perpetrator at most.
Non-Muslims carried out more than 90% of all terrorist attacks in America.
Princeton University’s Loon Watch compiled the following chart from the FBI’s data:

According to this data, there were more Jewish acts of terrorism within the United States than Islamic (7% vs 6%). These radical Jews committed acts of terrorism in the name of their religion. These were not terrorists who happened to be Jews; rather, they were extremist Jews who committed acts of terrorism based on their religious passions, just like Al-Qaeda and company.
Top 10 of all terrorist organisations are of various racial categories, various races, various ethnicities, and various beliefs.
Thus: terrorist do not have any religion. they are neither Muslims nor Hindus, They are neither Christians nor Sikhs, their only religion is Terrorism.
