My interpretation of the actual water/space rock situation. This perspective has been continuously verified as new information comes from science.

Comets are space rocks, not dusty snowballs. The sun produces the solar wind which is hydrogen ions - protons. The sun space environment is positively charged relative to the outer parts of the solar system due to this. Space rocks coming from the outer regions electrically interact with the positively charged hydrogen ion solar environment. This causes space rocks which are metal oxides to loose their oxygen bonds to the metals and combines the oxygen with the hydrogen ions. This creates water and pure metal. This water is the cause of Earth's oceans which science can't explain - they just have a vague concept of dusty snowballs falling on Earth from space. The Earth space environment is filled with water and collects on Earth due to gravity. Comet gravity also holds some water to it. Metal "space rocks" fall to Earth as iron meteorites during meteor showers. The metal is de-oxidised rock.

Space craft coming from Earth's more positively charged space environment and going to the outer solar system will experience electrical shocks when interacting with outer solar system space bodies. This is what takes out some of them, like Rosetta.

Many of these ideas are borrowed from the largely ignored/discredited Electric Universe theory which includes some too extreme notions rightly dismissed for now.

Therefore water being on an asteroid is now an expectation I would have predicted. Also comets without water accumulated on itself is an asteroid. The water halo around a comet is not simply water evaporating from the surface but the creation of water from solar hydrogen and oxygen from its metals.

I could probably dig up references but I am happy to leave this as a hypothesis for your consideration. :) If suns and rocks spontaneously create water, and life needs water, space bacteria is likely. And so panspermia is likely. And life in other solar systems is likely.

If I remember well, that Theory is about all matter is actually electricity and magnetism, and the reality we "feel" is an illusion of our senses.

I also recall seeing on a TV show that scientists now understand that the shape of galactic spiral arms is a product of magnetic fields. Very very slowly science is drifting to a mix of gravity and EM shaping the universe. And I expect ultimately the distinction will be removed, which will unite EU vs Newton.

If you want some interesting hypothesising from the Electric Universe people I recommend this. It uses human mythology to propose an alternate way that our solar system formed, much more chaotic than the nice orderly stately one used by conventional science.
