I still watch the show.
I'm actually planning on watching that episode soon if anybody wants to join me.
>>181760I also still watch the show. I missed most of this season, but plan on watching it either incrementally or on a binge. How soon are you planning on watching it?
>>181761Where do you think you are?
>>181762Maybe in about 20 minutes.
if you want to join:
https://cytu.be/r/ponyorgtfo >>181762Season 2 was the last season plus the first episode of season 5(which doesn't really exist). No other seasons are real.
Starting the 2018 Christmas special now.
I've seen a few episodes of the new season, haven't watched all of it. I'm still new enough to this fandom that I can still get enjoyment from watching, and I don't think what I've seen of the new season is as awful as people have said. Although I do think it's a far cry from what it used to be.
Anyway haven't seen this one and I love Christmas episodes of anything, think I'll postpone watching it until it gets closer to Christmas though.
>>181702I've put up with a lot over the show's runtime, but the most unforgivable thing they could have done was to spit on the pilot's moral by shoehorning the friendship school. It's not merely the fact that it's a toyetic thing to put in, it's not even the fact that the writers use the entire premise as one big race bait issue, it's the fact that Twilight has completely and utterly "forgotten" that friendship can't be taught from books and curriculum, and here we all are, eight years later, with Twilight doing exactly that. All for the sake of a fucking playset and whatever politically motivated brainwashing the writers want to stuff in now.
Kirins are overdesigned for the express purpose of looking unique enough to excuse a toyline, after the release of which they will never be seen or spoken of again in any capacity. Anyone who unironically likes them is a brain dead normie too blind to see it. >>181778By watching more episodes. ;^)
>>181780That's basically the moral of the Season 8 opener though. Twilight opens a School to teach friendship, and the mane 6 want to teach it naturally and not through books. But Twilight is intimidated by a professional association administrator, and so forces all of the mane 6 to teach Friendship through books. This fails. Miserably. So much so, that the foreign students, frustrated from boredom, skip school and go off on their own, learning more about friendship through lollygagging in a few days than weeks of books. Twilight ends up telling the Administrator to fuck off and the mane six try teaching friendship through more effective means
>>181783But but, they're not real cuz anon said so
>>181780>>181785The opener is one of the episodes I haven't seen yet, but it sounds like more of an example of Twilight's autism causing comic mishaps than anything else. I basically agree though that the school was a bad idea.
>>181785This bad idea would be better if the writers wrote "The Friendship School is a terrible idea, friendship must develop naturally" episodes instead of "The old Mane Six are such terrible and immature ponies, the new Diversity Six can learn friendship by using them as examples of what NOT to be".
Yes, I'm still pissed about Fall Weather Friends 2: Written Badly Edition.
>>181786>>181771Berserk 2016 is still good goys trust me. Let me post more smug reaction images to gloss over my despair.
>>181803>Berserk 2016I haven't seen it. How bad are we talking here?
>>181815Jesus, CGI animation in anime was a mistake.
>>181803Plz excuse me while I kill myself. Your simpsons memes are too much. Forgive me for ever disagreeing with you.
>>181821>>181815The director of this show only ever did a generic cutesy "Little girls being cute and playing tennis" anime before this
or something
anyway it had the same retarded quick-cuts directing style
24 replies. Nothing about the ep. /mlpol/ I am disappoint.
>>181865I made a meme of it. Does that count?
