Remember the good old days.

These are some of the earliest images I have saved from 4/1-4/2/2017. I'm honestly a little amazed this place is still around sometimes, hopefully we'll be around for years to come.

I remember waking up and grabbing my laptop to shitpost a little on /pol/ before work like I normally did, and wondering why the fuck there were ponies all over the board. Then I realized what had happened and thought it was just delightfully silly. I had to go to work but I kept lurking on my phone and checking in, then spent the whole night and the next day shitposting when I got home.

I remember the exact moment the board froze. I was in a thread where Anon was photographing pages of Daring Do and the Jungle of Terror, waiting for him to post the next page. Sadly, he never got to finish. I wonder sometimes if that Anon is still around.

I remember that moment of panic when I realized that /mlpol/ was gone and probably never coming back. I remember wondering where to go and what to do. I remember lurking both boards when they came back up and looking for threads on the subject until I found out we were occupying /qa/. I remember taking actual time off work to photoshop pony memes and post them on /qa/. I remember traveling around looking for wifi because my home IP kept getting banned. I remember the shitposting. I remember Tippity Top Kekkles guy.

I remember photoshopping this ridiculous vaporwave Nazi Pony image at 2 in the morning April 1st before falling asleep, that somehow wound up becoming an iconic /mlpol/ image. I remember photoshopping several more of them on top of all the other OC I was churning out because people seemed to like them. Even though I'd completely forgotten about it until I found it in my folder just now, I now remember making this retarded animated 404 image for one of the boards, maybe even this one, even though I don't think it was ever used.

I remember when we had a board on endchan. I remember when we had a total of four boards plus a discord and a cytube, and we were all arguing over which board should be the "main" /mlpol/ bunker.

I remember 4chan freezing /qa/ because we shit the place up so bad for so long and made so many weeaboos complain that they decided the only solution was to go full Hiroshima. I remember raiding [s4s] because our thirst for the blood of infidels had not yet been slaked. I remember sitting in my room for literally 10 hours (maybe more even) pulling autistic nonsense about The Denver Broncos out of my ass and posting it in every single thread until eventually the whole board was covered in it. I remember taking a 15 minute break to cook pasta because it was all I ate that day. I remember we shit on them so hard that 4chan unfroze /qa/ just so we'd raid there instead.

I remember applying for a mod position and being interviewed by Sapphire Star, who is no longer among us F and in the end was an hero who doesn't afraid of anything. Hopefully you're still skulking around here somewhere, you fucking faggot. I remember getting hired as a mod on literally no other qualifications beyond writing funny shitposts. I remember actual months worth of arguments and palace intrigue and ridiculous infighting over shit that seems stupid now.

Above all, I remember the gud mems, the hilarity, the shitposting, the autism, the porn, the actual hours of my life expended on OC creation, the shitposting, the fun we've all had, the shitposting, and the pivotal moment when some Anonymous finally convinced me to watch My Little Pony and I discovered I actually enjoyed it. I even went to a damn pony convention.

In the end, when this is all over, if there turns out to be an afterlife and I am permitted to throw together a DVD-like creation that will allow me to live specific periods of my life over and over while skipping through the shitty parts, the first couple months of /mlpol/ will definitely be on there. Hell, I might even put the whole thing on there. Aside from Trump being president, 2017 would have sucked balls if it hadn't been for this place and you crazy horsefuckers.

Never change, /mlpol/. Equestria uber alles.

I recall making endless Iron Pony derivatives (some good some bad) and the slow emergence of it into the look that emerged. I learned how to make metallic effects and I did not sleep at all that night. And stopping to eat was annoying.

Yeah, there was someone pushing a conspiracy theory at one point that mlpol.net was a honeypot. I also remember the board code was wacky in the early days, for a couple of days we only had a /b/ board and it would return to the main page instead of the thread or the board page when you'd post, so you'd have to go hunt for your post. I remember being a little suspicious of it initially for those reasons.

I remember mostly using the endchan board in the early days because that was the first one I found. Then it turned out they had a rogue mod or something and it got nuked and never recovered. This place had become the goto board by that point anyway, though.

I've forgotten what the other two boards were, they were fairly low traffic as I recall. I think we had one on 8ch briefly, the other one iirc was just a startup board like this one that ended up getting eclipsed by all the other options.

At first I reeeee'd at the horsepussy until I realized that there were actual discussions taking place. Then I met Aryanne, saw the meme of Twilight supporting Hitler, and realized how talented the horsepron art fags are. Pic 4 has been the background on my phone ever since the 3rd. I remember forcing myself to stay awake, blanketing /qa/ with broncoposts until other anons came and relieved me, in spite of having to work a few hours later. /mlpol/ literally changed my life with no regrets.

That does make me kind of sad. Still, there's only so long you can expect people to keep pouring time into maintaining something so pointless, and it's frankly impressive it stayed intact as long as it did. I remember checking it a few months ago and it still looked the same as it did last summer, and even so there's still an impressive amount of it left.

Plus I think it started to die around the same time the pixelcanvas craze in general died, as I no longer even see the threads on 4chan about it anymore. All in all I think we can call pixelcanvas.io a victory for /mlpol/.

I think the limit is 50MB. Could be limit on dimensions on image. I think there is a max height and/or width on images.

Agree, I've had to cut images in two myself for posting. Still there quite big images I've been able to upload without problems too.
