>>166469Sounds like the typical Rarity and Rainbow shipfag fanfiction where the conflict, challenge or obstacles (if any) is caused by seeming incompatibilities or opposites.
Except the episode will have less depth ^:)
>>166469This is the kind of thing that made me question since the first season, why would Rarity be friend with Pinkie Pie or Rainbow dash? I was hopping to see an episode that would show their relationship but I didn't see anything really worth. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash is a strange friendship but it's explained by the childhood so it's normal. Just the kind of thing I feel they failed to show because it should have been earlier.
This episode will probably be disappointing like
>>166482 say.
Anyone notice that RD's shirt is /mlp/ 4cc colors?
They definitely scissored after the episode was over.
This is actually the first episode of the current season I've watched. What struck me about it is the core content of the episode was actually good and this could have been as good an episode as any from the good seasons, if they hadn't injected all this superfluous extra crap into it. At its core this was just a story about Rarity and Rainbow Dash realizing that they have little in common and questioning why they are even friends, then they have to go and solve a problem together and realize that their differences compliment each other. You could have set this exact same story in any of the previous seasons and it still would have worked.
The initial setup at the friendship school could have been replaced with literally any other scenario that would provoke an argument between the two ponies. Glimmer's appearance in this episode feels like an unnecessary injection, even more so than usual with her. I can see RD and Rarity seeking out another pony to serve as an impartial moderator to help them resolve their differences, but going to Glimglam because she's the school's friendship counselor or whatever the fuck her job is supposed to be, instead of seeking out the advice of one of their other close friends, seems like a good example of how far off the rails this show has gone. The ending was dumb and could be seen from a mile away even by the audience of children it's written for. They could have at least had some kind of genuine payoff for solving the mystery of who stole the whatever the fuck amulet, seeing as how the two ponies would have learned the requisite friendship lesson either way. Twilight and Spike really didn't need to be in this one at all. The jokes are still funny and like I said the core story was good, but this show is definitely well past its prime.
Anyway that's my take, 7/10 is my rating I guess.
>>166469this show is so fucking dumb now. Don't they both like teaming up with the rest of the mane 6 and one shotting villains in disappointing two parters? How is that not a good reason to stay friends?
>>166469>the absolute state of polacksso this is where you all migrated too? wtf is wrong with you lads?
>>167089but to be fair its a good back up if 4 and 8 go down
It was a nice episode even if it was extremely obvious.
Ponies with boots always feel weird.
Also the writers actually know about the show or at least read the wiki!
Funny moments interesting to watch I'd say a solid 8/10
