I signed up for the Proton mail out of Switzerland because they were touting its privacy and encryption. I could not use it in my native mobile's email program as I use a Blackberry Classic. I download the APK for there service that they use for Android (As BB10 has a halfassed Android 4.3 runtime) I run the APK everything fine, then it says I need Google Play Services to run the program. Program still runs without it though.

Pretty sure that's an android limitation, not proton mail. Don't underestimate the ability of jewgle to datamine everything
that sucks, m8. at least your government isn't snatching the messages straight out of your phone, as far as I know. But yeah, total privacy is something pople lost long ago, and I feel for ya.
proton is obviously not secure if only because it allows me an account. gmx wont. However it is a nice account to have to dump stuff into.
If you want privacy you need to understand that any third party will compromise that. That goes for the tor fags as well who think they are Teflon when in reality they are only a re-used Trojan cum collective.
It runs well, It just tries to call home and my Blackberry is not a true Android device and blocks any attempts of any programs that tries to connect to Google. I am just trying to point this out to people with true Android users.
>>16548at least you figured it out, better than I would've done.
