Ignore it because as far as waifuing go it's only based on the show but you add the rest so if you aren't too autistic you shouldn't change your waifu based on how her character is changed in the show.

It wouldn't matter to me. The Pinkie Pie on the screen, the Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle on the screen, they're not the characters I fell in love with. I know who they really are, and I will always love them, even as the show turns them into Ruby Rose, Trixie 2, and Patrick Star out of spite.

Mine's sunhorse, and I don't think they'll ship her before g4 ends, and they're not planning on bringing her into g5, so I think I'm in the clear. But otherwise what I did with the comics, and what anyone else does, I called it a shit story arc and my waifu isn't the character on the screen anyway.
