Ancap is just as much of a meme as the nazbol gang.
The legal system of an anarcho-capitalist society would be similar to the one that existed in Ireland under Brehon law, the Icelandic Commonwealth, and large portions of the Western US in the 19th century (see attached pdf).
>>152051Seems not to be a universal solution:
>During the period eighteen men were murdered and many more wounded. Only when President Sam Houston called out the militia in 1844 did the feuding stop. Thus, for whatever reasons, in this case it appears that dependence upon non-governmental forms of organization was not successful. >>152053Fair enough, but to paraphrase Gustave de Molinari, not having as state is not a gaurantee there won't be injustice, but having a state is a guarantee that there will. Historically, conflicts involving states are almost invariably greater than those that don't involve states, and the article in question cites empirical evidence that there was more crime after the government took control in the Western US than beforehand. A society without a coercive monopoly on violence can still be far from perfect, but it is definitely preferable.
>>152052What is up with this FUCKTARDED meme that capitalists won't built roads?
How goddamn stupid do you have to be?
>>152052Where the FUCK did the railroads come from, brainlet?
>>152058Government land grants in the U.S., government public works projects most everywhere else
>>152054Isn't government just a monopoly gang that rules by fear and has emerged out of pre-civilized anarchy? The power vacuum will be filled, you can call it government or Mafia or monopoly, its the same thing.
Humans will still be humans.
Anarchy would be a natural state in a less technological society, but communications, transportation and range weapons will evolve a overarching monopoly eventually, lets call that Federalisation, with rules, which we can call Federal Laws.
>>152072This is the main reason I disagree with Anarcho-anything. the power gap will always be filled by a 'government' even if you call it a different name. Which is why I see Libertarianism and Minarchism as the most likely choices as they already accept there will be some form of government.
>>152043Small principalities based off of clans and larger collective security agreements to keep shit skins out. Every principality would be privately owned by a lord who owned the land entirely and rented it out to his family/clan. It would be the job of the prince to help his kin and keep his people from being looted or else it would be the duty of the family to overthrow the prince and place a new one to privately own the land and not loot it. Any one of these princes could expand his territory at will but would have to divide up the new land to family members.
Also if any prince were to allow democratic/communist rule, or that is non-privatized government then the others would invade them. If anyone likes non-privatized rule they are physically removed.
>>152084Somewhat, but feudalism didn't really have a good idea of private property since it held a lot in the commons and the idea of modern markets weren't really in existence back then. Also back then everything was a command economy not free market so its a pretty different system, though neo-feudalism wouldn't' be a bad term I guess.
>>152077The anarcho- term is a lie anyway. The system is about a spontaneously arising order. This spontaneously arising order is anti-anarcho, a response to the fear of anarchy. So the whole thing is a self-deception by its own self-description and self-operation.
Let me describe this from my strange perspective: There are 2 categories of "forces" in the universe. Entropy and Order. Entropy is spreading things out and ripping them apart. Order is gravity which makes suns, the elements, planets and habitats. Order is also the evolution of life, the Big Bang -> energy -> sub-atomic particles -> atoms -> molecules -> cells -> life -> self-awareness -> intelligence.
Entropy is our enemy, said another way, anarcho is our enemy, and Anarcho-whatever is the relearning of this and the spontaneous emergence of seeking order against entropy. Anarcho- causes its anti-thesis to emerge. They celebrate the opposite of anarcho- and then call it anarcho- ! These are micro-governments, which keep
evolving as the struggle against Entropy continues into larger governments.
Evolution sees everything as a component in a larger order. It is now trying to evolve us humans into cells of a larger being, and it is struggling with finding a way to unite humanity. Evolution does not give up though, nor does Entropy. The battle continues… have we topped out in unification possibilities?
Yes, I am very weird! Thanks for asking. >>152085Alright, at least I can understand that train of thought a bit better. Though im not sure how the rules would be enforced if said prince/ruler didnt divide it up with the family, like you said it would be their duty but there would be many who wouldnt act on it.
>>152086I understood the first half pretty clearly, but your train of thought and thinking is a little different from what I'm used to needing to comprehend though I understand the point you are making.
>>152088Collective security concerns and norms would be enough normally to make that happen. The only real case I can see it not being entirely the case is if say people wanted to colonize Africa again.
>>152090Yeh my own thought process are not related to reading and using expected terms. Ask away if you wish. Sorry if I am derailing.
>>152043Law enforcement would be like the Salem witch hunts.
>>152216Because everyone knows that the determination of fault in insurance claims is based on random or faulty criteria and insurance companies try to be as arbitrary as possible.
