You can literally highlight somebodies stupidity in such a resolute way without using anti-immigration arguments, destroying their basis as a valid proponent, with something they have to agree is sound (thereby ruining whatever else they've been arguing for and collapsing their basis) or disagree with you so you can keep wailing on them -it's perfect.
It provides ample opportunity to deride a pro-immigrant opposition WITH THEIR OWN FUCKING SIDE.

But I think/hope people (not the leftist devotees) see the hypocrisy and that is why there is a shift towards the right by voters. There is also a shift towards the extreme left but I am not worried about that so much. The extreme left is so batshit crazy that any moderate party that goes into coalition with them will have to either loose their voter base even more to the right, or say "no" to the extreme left policies and loose voters to the extreme left. In the end there will be extreme left and center/right parties left.
