I didn't see a reading thread in the catalog, so I made one. Share what you're reading right now or if you're not reading anything you can ask for suggestions. I'm currently reading the attached pdf, The Principles of Economics by Carl Menger.
>>141697I got a decent ways through Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms" a few weeks ago. I haven't progressed much on anything since then though
Been doing some re-reads on FimFiction lately.
I'd been intending on getting to Gulag Archipelago after an anon kindly posted a .pdf.
There's a reading thread in /ub/ fyi

Lately I don't have time to sit and read physical books so much, but I have been absorbing books via audiobook while I'm doing other things, particularly driving.
I've been working my way through an essential /pol/ reading list I found here on and off while also slogging my way through The Story of Civilization. A few months ago decided to take a bit of a break and do some fiction for a while. I recently finished This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald, along with The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket and some other random Poe stories. During the fall I was on kind of an H.P. Lovecraft kick.
>>141702I've been reading this on and off too. The version I have is the Stalag translation which was recommended to me by either here or /pol/, I forget which. Is the Ford translation significantly better?
>>141697I'm in a children's literature class so I had to read a lot of kids books this semester, I recently re-read The Girl Who Owned a City and while it wasn't as good as I remember it still has a charm to it, today I read through The Call of the Wild and thought it was great and I'm planning on reading White Fang as well as London's other stories. Now I just have to read through Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry to finish the required readings, the class was actually quite nice and I got to read through a lot of books that I never would have considered, I would recommend to any one who doesn't want to read through a longer book or series to pick up an older kids book.
>>141706I have no basis of comparison to be honest
