All I did was change the bright pink in her design to a slightly brighter version of the purple next to her. And suddenly, she's practically unrecognizable. She's easier on the eyes, and the purple shades on her body look deeper and more vibrant. I keep going back and checking if I also messed with the hues or saturations, but I didn't.

Why? I've loved her since S1, I don't want to say it, but why does she almost look... better this way?

Did you know Lauren Faust wanted Twilight's mane to have a blue and darker-blue streak? It's why her actual mane is such a blueish purple.

Exactly what I was thinking. Guess they liked the contrast and how it made her look like twilight due to the color design. Overall I think it was one of the few edits to Faust's universe that worked out very well.

If I remember correctly she was originally named Twilight Twinkle or something similar. They definitely made the right choice as far as her design goes. She just looks bland without the pink in there, like someone's OC that just looks kind of meh but you're not entirely sure why.

Twilight looks the way it looks because of this one style that was famous back in 2007~2014
You know, the purple and black with high contrast, I don't remember the name, but I remember a lot of girls using that color scheme everywhere.
