The president of the Republic spoke about the lack of diversity in the field of artificial intelligence, during his speech at the College de France, Thursday, March 29.
There are too many white and quadragenarians in the artificial intelligence sector, according to Emmanuel Macron. And that must change. This is the message delivered by the President of the Republic during his speech in favor of artificial intelligence.

"The world we live in is a world of superstars... There is a hyper concentration of value created, deep choices that are not just entrepreneurial choices but societal choices and maybe to be of civilization", he began by explaining in his speech before adding: "It also assumes that we do not have too many similarities in the actors who are made to make these choices."

These actors, Emmanuel Macron conceded in his speech, are very similar to him: "They must not be a little what I am in front of you ..., that is to say, white males forty year olds, trained in major European or American universities" the President of the Republic launched in the laughter of the halls.

How to counteract the trend? Emmanuel Macron explained that it was necessary to "mobilize more scientific training to find more women, more equality, more social diversity", stressing that "the need forinclusiveness of training" in order to not allowing a minority of talent to make "deep choices" that could impact the whole of society.

A study by global Contact, published in September 2017, reported an alarming evolution of the proportions of girls and women in scientific and technological training. The numbers stagnate or, worse, decrease. In 2010 and 2015, for exemple, 8% of enrollments in ITU were girls.

I love the choice of words here. Like "an alarming evolution", good way to move the reader where you want them to go or think.
More seriously, they want to make the studies "simple" for the women and "diversity", in the name of equality/bullshit. They don't talk about the fact that every school in France is open to everyone, no mater the diversity or the sex, you just need to work hard and be good too. I don't see any women complaining about the lack of women amongst the construction worker, I wonder why!

I believe that what they really WANT is to put their own disgusting ideology in AI because the AI will just work with logics. The AI will see the tendencies in the society, the AI will finds the correlations with sex, culturs, their way of life and many other things that will collectively lead them to make a choice and not another. The AI will make a lot of logical choice that will hurt this "leftist utopia". I'm pretty sure they want to control the AI, to make him act in the way they want him to act, to adapt to their imaginary vision of the world.
